Faces of Evil, when it comes to the branding of ongoing titles, has been largely pointless and disappointing. Most of the one-shots, however, are exactly what I expected from this much-touted bad guy spotlighting. Like the Prometheus book, last week, Deathstroke's story is about the villain, told from the villain's point of view, and reminds us what the villain in question is about. I've been a fan of Deathstroke ever since he took on a good portion of the Justice League by himself during Identity Crisis. While the action here wasn't quite up to the caliber, I couldn't be happier to know that Slade is back and, this time, he's going to be cutting his own path. It was also nice to see Ravager again, since it's been a long time since I've been able to read a book with her in it and want to make it all the way through.
