This would have been my last month for CB and Mi13. It wasn't about not enjoying Cornell and Kirk's run, because I was. This had all the pleasure of my favorite shows on BBC America with some of the most gorgeous pencils I've seen. No, perhaps it was just me getting nervous about my current monetary situation and probably it had something to do with the Holiday madness delaying shipment from Heavy Ink for three weeks. Whatever the case, I was cutting my pull list down and really scoured it down to essentials only. Captain Britain And Mi 13 was not being considered essential.

My reasoning being Captain Britain and co. have been enjoying riotous sales as I understand it, so why pay the extra penny for my impatience, and the anti-drug and car ads (I'm already giving, however unwillingly, enough to Detroit. They can leave my comics alone.)? I can wait and pick it up on the flip side, right?

Absolutely wrong. This issue saved the whole bloody series for at least the foreseeable future. Good grief, this last run was fantastic - I relished every page and was in awe of Cornell's writing and Kirk's art. Every moment perfectly balanced between prose and picture; this Captain Britain will go down as one of The Best non-event/Superstar books of the new Millinium. Maybe this will read better in trade, but I don't care; it's too good not to pick up now.
