I Kill Giants #6 (OF 7)

For the past 5 issues we’ve been wondering whether Barbara’s fantasy world of Giants and mythical sprites are real or simply imagined.

Well issue 6 pretty much settles any lingering doubt about the reality of fantasy, when a giant TITAN emerges from the sea and causes some real damage, witnessed and incurred upon actual people other that our bunny-eared protagonist.

This is the all out action issue.

And after 5 issues of emotional/character development, it was a nice surprise to see some great action.

Niimura really surprised me with the “epic” quality he put in the fight. I love that the beast is so huge it barely fits in the panels. It’s too big to see.

And I LOVED the reveal of “Coveleski”, Barbara’s mighty of weapon with which Giants are brought to their knees.

This is, and has been, the quiet surprise of the year. Love it. And looking forward to the conclusion.
