I've been enjoying this series, but this issue left me feeling a bit empty. In a word, the issue was slight. The fourth of six, this issue takes place just as the villains are out in the opening and causing much damage in the "real" world of you and me 1985. But while that set-up should l;ead to a lot of action and super-villain fisticuffs, what's presented here felt downright meager. Admittedly, it's funny to see some of the more obscure villains doing what they do best, but the storytelling is so surface as to eliminate any sort of visceral experience. I'll complete the series, as this issue does end with the intriguing notion of our boy hero jumping through the light to drag some heroes into the real world for help, but of the four thus far, this seems to be the weakest.
