Beta Ray Bill Godhunter #1 (OF 3)

               I picked this issue up expecting a guilty pleasure but I was pleasantly surprised at its craft.

               The sequel to a Secret Invasion tie-in I never read, this book finds Beta Ray Bill on a cosmic quest to kill Galactus.  “Phonogram” writer Kieron Gillen keeps things moving quickly and economically, never skimping on the action, surprises, or clever banter.  Kano’s pencils are clean and solid, giving depth to an epic story (not to mention a super-cute Agent Brand).

               This is good, fun cosmic story just the way comic fans like it.
