1 Month To Live, 5 Days To Die.  It’s a bad week for comic book characters to go to a doctor.

I’m not always a huge fan of stylized photoshop art, but I like Chee’s work.  His two page spread near the end is fantastic.  But the story is a little rushed.  I know, the dude has five days to live, he’s not going to sit down and come up with an organized plan for the rest of his life.  But the scenes jump a bitt too quickly  You can understand what’s going on, but there’s no emotional resonance.  There’s also a huge storytelling flaw where all the characters are concerned that the main character will die if he moves, but then one of his friends gets angry with him and violently shakes him.  I get that Schmidt is trying to let us know that the character is angry, but if your friend is in danger of dying if he makes any sudden movements, you’re probably not going to violently shake him to let him know that he shouldn’t make any sudden movements.

Story: 2 - Average
Art: 4 - Very Good
