  1. If we’re pitch dream movies then I’d like to see Black Canary/Zatanna: Bloodspell or the first arc of this Doctor Fate run. Maybe Omega Men.

  2. Great talk has ever, bitter comments but true. I`m just sad to see the downgrade on animation quality in the last 15 years, Short Peace from Katsuhiro Otomo was the most impressive in recent years.

A lot of it has to do with the use of 3d animation, facilitating a lot of things but giving that standard look to everything, in Short Peace there is an experimental combination between 3d modeling and 2d paintings and that is amazing.

There was a great era for animation in the 80`s 90`s the beginning of 2000, from Akira to Ghost in the Shell. When I was really young I remembering seeing ninja scroll and thinking in 20 years animation will be overwhelming, but no…… just a lot of dc movies and very mediocre anime shows.

If you know some good recent animation movies or shows please tell me

  3. I completely blanked on Blue Beetle being on the Teen Titans in the next movie.

  4. Thanks for the therapy session. I just reread some issues of Batman and Detective from 1989-90 and was blown away by what a breath of fresh air they were. I just don’t understand who DC’s target audience is these days.

  5. Also appreciate the therapy session. I miss old Batman stories and good animated features.

  6. I was under the impression that Damian died in issue 8 of Morrison & Burnham’s “Batman Incorporated” Volume 2 and it was Tomasi, Kubert, and the current DC regime that brought him back after that.

This isn’t as much a “well, actually” as a “Did I miss something?”, but Conor, when you refer to Morrison bringing Damian back are you talking about when Morrison first introduced Damian as the baby from the end of “Son of the Demon” in his first arc on “Batman”, being introduced in The New 52 continuity in Morrison’s 2nd volume of “Batman Inc”, or (spoilers) the final page reveal of that series?

Maybe it’s that final page, but the Damian we knew throughout the run was dead at that point and I don’t blame Morrison if someone took that reveal and did their worst with it…

Bringing him back after SON OF THE DEMON.

  7. Wow!! I loved the Morrison run, but I can’t say I don’t agree with you about Morrison never opening the box in the first place. I loved all of the side conversations this film afforded you guys and hope Titans is good for the next one…

  8. I didn’t hate it. But I didn’t love it. I didn’t expect anything from it. And love that you guys still do these pod-casts!
