Pick of the Week #564 – Deadly Class #24

Show Notes

Enter The Richards Contingent! It’s all about a fart joke, and the place of Annuals in comics. This is what the kids sign up for, right? As we gear up for the holidays, it’s a straight up comic talk show. But a little weird. We can’t pinpoint why.

Comments

  1. Seven to Eternity looks beautiful but it can’t get a pass on the book having no story so far.

  2. The back matter for Brubaker books is always a must read for me. The Criminal issues especially have a lot of fantastic movie recommendations .

  3. Other than the children I think i’m living the same life as Josh, I moved from an urban area to an extremely rural gun toting one, I read humorous comics to lighten up my fear of the current political climate. I very much enjoyed Sam Wilson and Mockingbird until one got cancelled and the other got ripped apart by events.

  4. At this point there is little doubt that X-men have been ‘done dirty’
And I don’t think anyone believes editors and creators when it is said that the X-men are not being affected by licensning issues.
The question now is- Is anyone really happy with what has been given to us with the Inhumans?
Have Soule and Lemire even remotely succeeded in giving us characters and stories that matter or begin to offer a substitute for X-Men stories?
    I think not.
And I too am sick of it.
