  1. I knew Chew was gonna be one to watch, but YIKES! It was definitely my POTW. I thought it was really cool for Layman to include so many pages of script at the end. And i believe that Chew is slated for 60 issues. So, this arc will end next issue, and then we have 3 more arcs til completion. What a great comic it’s been and we still don’t know about the possible govt conspiracy with the bird flu. Lots for watch for in the next year plus.
I didn’t listen all the way til the end, but no Big Hero 6 talk?? I watched it with my kids and they loved it. I thought it was worth my money, and had a great time with it. Just wondering what you guys thought about it. Til next week guys!

    • No BIG HERO 6 talk. If we had it would have been its own show; we record this one before the weekend starts.

I got invited to a screening a few weeks ago but I couldn’t make it. I’m not sure when I’d get the chance to see it again. So there are no real plans to cover it at the moment but that could change.

  2. Conor, you seemed to suggest you and Paul would be on the year end round-up, but not Josh? I know last year Josh bowed out since his parenting duties keeps him too busy for a lot of movies, music, games and books (and believe me, I can sympathize with that particular predicament!)

Josh, is there any way you’d be willing to do just the comics portion of the round-up? I’m sure I speak for a lot of listeners when I say we missed you last year! I enjoy the guests you guys bring in, but there’s no substitution for the thoughtful discussions that occur when the three of you talk about comics together. The round-up episodes are generally my favorites, and I put a lot of stock into your recommendations.

  3. Shocked you guys didn’t mention Velvet 8. Two quick questions, I am looking for some good Atom and Blade stories, any recommendations?

  4. I’m catching up on some old episodes and thought this might be handy.

Books mentioned by the guys regarding Lincoln at the end of the podcast:

Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln’s Killer

American Brutus: John Wilkes Booth and the Lincoln Conspiracies

“They Have Killed Papa Dead!”: The Road to Ford’s Theatre, Abraham Lincoln’s Murder, and the Rage for Vengeance

Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln

Killing Lincoln: The Shocking Assassination that Changed America Forever (though not recommended by Josh)
