  1. The Constantine trailer. When i started i thought it was a fan made thing, it was just a little off. I think it is as you say that he looks a little cosplay. Also the accent is cliche tv not good Irish, Seems lazy. I think they are going to miss the point and make his a ‘cheeky chapy’ sort. The Film would have been fine if they had got a really good actor to play John. this i think will not be as good as the film, hope the actor does better than i foresee him being. it will be different so lets hope it’s good.
What a great week for art this week. Daredevil was amazing, Electra, the X books and others. We are in a great time for comics.

  2. I have not listened to the podcast yet but surprised that you guys did not mention Forever Evil #7, since it is not listed in the show notes. That would probably my pick of the week. The owner at my LCD talked me into getting it even though i had not read an issue since #3. And I am glad that he did. The final issue had some pretty cool moments in it and a lot of them were Lex Luthor ones. Close runner up would be X-O Manowar #25, but mostly due to this being one of my favorite books I am reading each month..

  3. My Pick of the week would wither be Justice League #30 or Forever Evil #7. This week had lot of great comics like Daredevil, Uncanny X-Men, Amazing Spider-Man.

  4. I agree: BKV knows how to me single issues interesting and complete in his larger narrative arch. Saga is my pick of the week, easily.

  5. Funny that you mentioned the cover to Saga #19. I got the impression of a sci-fi supermodel runway situation. The way that issue ended was great.

  6. I had the exact same reaction as Josh with the scene in the trailer where John seems a little scared/doubtful. When I saw it I immediately thought ‘that’s not John Constantine, John Constantine is a cocky mother fucker who isn’t going to get scared of a demon.’

Also, I was listening the whole trailer to see if they said his name to hear how they pronounced it and I don’t recall them ever doing so. Is this correct or did I miss it. I’m assuming either way it’ll be Constanteen, but I can always hope.

  7. I enjoyed Flash Gordon as well. Better than the initial issue. I’m not sure how I feel about MPH. I’m interested in what route they will go with it but it reminds me of a drugged out Flash.

  8. My pick of the week would have to be Batman ’66 Meets the Green Hornet. Very nice start to that story.

  9. It was a good week, I’d have to go with East of West #12, I’ve been starting to fall off this but this was a great issue. Had a lot of fun with the JL books and doomed is still pretty good. Thor was also a ton of fun.

I also read Rachel Rising in trades. I sort of feel like Terry Moore should go Image, with their promotion this book would sell a lot more, but I don’t see it happening.
