Pick of the Week Podcast

Pick of the Week #594 – Aliens: Dead Orbit #3

Show Notes

Coming to you LIVE from San Diego Comic-Con… well, one-third live. And by “live,” we mean recorded. You know what we mean. So while Conor Kilpatrick is braving the masses at the San Diego Comic-Con, Josh Flanagan and Ron Richards are left to fight the oppressive summer heat. Good thing we have comics to keep us entertained. Also… Mekaneck?

Comments

  1. Back in War of Kings (one of the Abnett and Lanning cosmic crossovers), it was revealed that the Darkhawk armor was from some ancient Shi’ar warrior order.

  2. Did anyone else notice that Astonishing X-men featured the cat version of Beast, instead of the more recent ape version? Did he change back or was that a Jim Cheung choice?

    I just want consistency!

  3. My one word impersonation of Ron:

    “____ So…”

  4. Whatever you think about Secret War- and it is mild to say I am not a fan of it.
I will give credit for the overall technical blueprint of how it would affect the Marvel U.
One of the biggest problems with has to be that Spencer has somehow either purposefully- aka- Trump commentary
or he just doesn’t have the chops for it- written Captain America as little more than a thug.
A dumb- oafish strong man and not the brilliant technician Steve Rogers is and definitely not the step up even he would need to become in order to really pull something like this off- make it believable and even begin to sell this.
