  1. Just so you know,  The artist on All-Star Superman is Frank Quitely, as in the reverse of Quite Frankly… get it? Its a pen-name.  Its just you called him Frank Quietly.

  2. Yep, that’s how I pronounced it.  It’s how I first read it in my head the first time I saw his name and it’s how I am always going to pronounce it.

  3. Oh, ok cool, must’ve heard it wrong, my bad, keep up the super-good work.

  4. No, what I mean is, I pronounced it "Quietly" because that’s how I’ve always pronounced it.  I know it’s wrong but that’s the way it goes.

  5. This would be a really good time to call him Connor.

  6. Man every Ultimate book except the horrible Ultimates V3 is coming out.  I guess Ron will like Ult. Spiderman and Josh will love him some Ult. Iron Man and Ult. Human.  Connor won’t care

  7. I love Ultimate Spider-Man.  It’s one of my favorite books.

  8. Just messin with you.  You have to admit Ron and Josh talk more about Ultimate books then you do.  Hey i got a question would you read an Ultimate-esque DC line if done?

  9. I disagree with that assessment, but okay.

Yes, I would read an Ultimate DC line.

  10. Big man and me both been diggin’ on Ultimate Human.

  11. Half my books this week are from the ultimates line.  I definitely can’t wait for Ultimate Iron Man as I decided to go pick up the other three issues after I got the first run super cheap at my LCS.  So I’ve been stocking up and will read all 4 issues at once, it will be awesome.

I know the long running debate is that all-star may be the ultimate verse for DC, but I agree with someone who thought of it more along the lines of Marvel Knights.  It doesn’t feel different enough.

I’m still trying to figure out why people like All-Star Superman, yet it’s been only slightly less late then Batman, granted without the huge pauses, and I personally think it’s not that great of a story from what I’ve read.  I don’t understand why I always go against the grain but I do.  Also the reason I have the arguement about the lateness is that I don’t remember this coming out too much later then All-Star Batman, please correct me if I am wrong.

I was also under the assumption that Mighty Avengers was late because of Cho.  It would seem weird that Bagley was late on anything.  Also it would be weird if he was drawing this book and Trinity at the same time.

  12. @jstump – I didn’t think there was any debate about the All Star line, it’s definitely not DC’s version of Marvel’s Ultimate line.  You’re on the money with the comparison to Marvel Knights.

MIGHTY AVENGERS *was* late because of Cho.  Bagley has been pumping out issues at the rate of almost two a month, but that’s because I suspect he has had a big headstart (while Cho was finishing his issues).  He has already started TRINITY, he’s ahead on that one.

  13. I used to think All Star was an Ultimate DC because of All Star’s wikipedia until I checked it out and figured out.  All Star Batman is ok but All Star Superman is dookie.

  14. hehe you said dookie.

@Conor – Yeah I heard Bagley has got a crazy 6 month lead or something like that on Trinity.  Too bad I spent too much money on Countdown, otherwise I’d buy the shit out of that book.  Busiek, Bagley.  I call that win/win.
