  1. I have this at my store and picked it up because I wanted to see the sketches for Sale’s Batman stuff. Man I didnt realize how much work he did before he went big with Jeph Loeb. He’s always been one of my favorite artists, always giving us a retro feel to any book. Also, he gives detail when he wants too but always makes the characters simple. (Forgive the remark but) His style of art is really the ‘Idiots Guide to Drawing’, in that it’s so simple that anyone could mimmick it if they tried.

I’m still waiting for my Iron Man: Gold and Dr. Strange: Purple though. 🙂

  2. I had no idea he is color blind.  My brother is also partially color blind.  I believe there are varying levels of colorblindness, so his might not be that bad.

Interesting that he could choose a color for the Dr. Stange book given that he can’t see some of them.  It would have been quite funny if he had suggested the title "Dr. Strange: I Don’t Know".  Seems kind of fitting for a Dr. Strange book.

  3. @stuchlach: Or how about ‘Dr. Strange: Why is he a god in one book but a wimp in another?’ That sounds more correct for the title. lol

  4. I didn’t know he was color blind either.  It really makes me curious just how closly he works with his colorist to get his work to be just how he wants it.  Makes me respect the mans work even more.

  5. @TheNextChampion – How about this title: "Dr. Strange: FTW or WTF?"  I would buy that book in an instant.  Honesty is the best policy.

  6. @Stuclach: Oooo were having a Dr. Strange faceoff, only gods can handle this raw power!

Let’s see……..I perfer the ‘Dr. Strange: Pornstar Mustache power!’ book that Sale will be drawing. It’ll be so awesome, the entire pages will be censor bars everywhere, that’s how much kicking ass it’ll do!

  7. @TheNextChampion – Good one.  Makes me want to grow a porn ‘stash.

How about: "Dr. Strange: Disable My Hands in Any Way an I am Defenseless" or "Dr. Strange: I Live With Another Man, but Not in that Cool Batman Way" or my personal favorite:

"Dr Strange: Walking Deus Ex Machina"

  8. @stuchlach: DAMN YOU! You took the best one of the bunch! The Dues Ex Machina is perfect for a title! You win this round my friend, but I’ll be back when we get another round going. 😛 lol

  9. Damn you talk fast!
