iFanboy #263 – Rick Remender of ‘Uncanny Avengers’, ‘Captain America’, and ‘Devolution’ at New York Comic Con 2012

Show Notes

After a successful two years on Uncanny X-Force, Rick Remender got the call to lead the charge for Marvel Comics and their relaunch, Marvel NOW! with Uncanny Avengers, the flagship book featuring the joined team of Avengers and X-Men. With a successful launch of the book the Wednesday before New York Comic Con, we talk to Remender to hear what the reaction to the book has been and what fans can expect from the series.

With Uncanny Avengers launched and behind him, Remender is now gearing up for the launch of his writing on Captain America along with art by John Romita, Jr., which is scheduled to launch in November.

In addition to his Marvel work, Remender returns to the creator owned world with the announcement of Devolution at Dynamite with artist Paul Renaud. A post apocalyptic prehistoric story, Remender gives us the lowdown on Devolution and how it came to be.

  1. Remender is awesome, and i hope there will be more than one mini of Devolution, because i think it has a lot more potential than just 6 issues.

  2. One of the best writer interviews you guys have done at the cons… Plus I run by in the background twice near the end. Working in artist alley was hard that weekend

  3. Issue 7 just came out and I was all, “What the…!”

Remender so called that one! 😀
