  1. Great show!
The place I order my comics from sends out a weekly e-mail that had some interesting crossover ideas – mainly that DC/Disney should swap a main character for about 6 months – let their mainstays have at turn at each other’s villians.
Josh(?) – nice cautionary advice on avoiding the ‘piles’ – ironic that you dispensed it while sitting on an additional cushion – flare up?

  2. Donald Blake has been in the comics, namely the JMS run as well as Fraction’s Iron Man run during Stark Disassembled. He hasn’t been seen much since. Now if that means the character is gone or just hasn’t been used yet we’ll see. I hope he comes back because I really enjoy that aspect of Thor.

  3. So – something I have been wondering for a while now watching the shows.

What does a single guy (assuming I am right about who’s apt this is) do with a sectional couch?

Fear Agent would be great- No joke- I think it would actually really work for tv.

Josh- You should know that X-Men 2099 writer John Francis Moore was from Maine- Lewistion I even think.

  4. Daredevil 2099 needed an ongoing series!!

  5. I think that JLA/Avengers covered everything that you could potentially want from a large-scale DC/Marvel crossover. They fight each other, they fight each others villains, they swap teammates, they party, they merge universes so that they co-exist, they fight the Big Bad together. You cannot better it.

However, that does leave the potential for smaller-scale crossovers, such as the Iron Man/Green Lantern idea. Providing that they don’t spend half the story explaining why the universes have crossed, and just get to an interesting story. They never used to bother with such explanations, back when readers were less cynical.

  6. @Jurassicalien  I just came to post that hehe.

  7. I’ve only watched half of this so far and this is my favourite show (either audio or video) in a while. Brilliant stuff!

  8. i admire your control at not hysterically laughing during the voicemails. there’s just something about it i find extremely amusing.

  9. What was that about at the end?

    Awkward…

  10. Yes, this was the best episode in months. I like comic-con videos, and variety shows can be fun, but this was really fun.

By the way, why is Joe Quesada the reason there won’t be crossovers?

  11. In the 2099 books…Doom was taken over by Warren Ellis in issue 25 or 26. It was his first Marvel writing gig. Also, Chris Bachalo did the first 4 or 5 issues of Ghost Rider 2099.

  12. How sad is it that I could watch an entire show of Ron reading Wikipedia entries and Josh making fun of how he says certain words?

  13. Ron’s pronunciations are one of my favorite parts of the show!

  14. They do referance Donald Blake in the new live action Thor movie though…

  15. Yeah but they missed out my favourite: SIMBOTAY

    (Symbiote)

  16. I actually prefered masterson to Blake. He had a lot more substance to his persona not just Thors alter ego. No mention of him in the Thor movie though…

  17. And Masterson was the first 616 Thunderstrike

  18. Thanks for answering my voicemail. I had been holding out for the iFanboy seal of approval on Cosmic Odyssey.  Indeed, my beard has grown during my contemplation of the Starlin titles!

  19. @jwaesch  You could have watched this show.

  20. Thanks for playing my voicemail about 2099!  You’re probably right that we can’t “go home again” with Spider-man.  Le sigh!

  21. I was actually going to revisit Punisher 2099 but after watching this show, maybe I shouldn’t. Thanks
