DON’T MISS: Skullkickers #1 with Jim Zubkavich

Show Notes

If you're thinking there's not quite enough dwarves, swords, and fantasy hijnks in your sequential life, Image Comics has good news for you.  This Wednesday sees the release of the first issue of their new ongoing, Skullkickers #1.  Writer and co-creator Jim Zubkavich talks to Josh Flanagan about how the series came about and what it's like.  If nothing else is clear, the book seems to have been a hell of a lot of fun to make, and hopefully that will translate to the readers.  With art by talented newcomer Edwin Huang, there's not much else like it on the stands, and it's very possible they have a hit on their hands.  Don't Miss Skullkickers #1 from Image Comics this Wednesday.

  1. Read the preview, and the writing is strong; lots of good lines, and some corny jokes that fit real well with the tone. Art is alright, it may get stronger as the series progresses. Will pick this up if my LCS has it.

  2. you had me at army of darkness lol

  3. Well, this convinced me to buy it. Image is my favorite publisher and they have been on a role with their new series lately.

  4. The Punisher called, he wanted to know whom to kill for using his skull logo.

I am going to pick this up, sounds interesting.

  5. Sounds good. Gonna try it out.

  6. Hats off to Image, already have the preview for this series available digitally… and for free!
