In a month of an avalanche of new #1 issues of comics, we take the spotlight away from DC Comics and all their new #1s and take a look at a new ongoing series from Image Comics, Near Death #1. Written by Jay Faerber with art by Simone Guglielmini, Near Death is a promising new crime series with a unique spin on the crime genre. Unlike the noir crime comics we’ve read recently, Near Death has a more action feel to it and is one of the best new issues we’ve seen in a while.
