DON’T MISS: Graveyard of Empires #1 with Mark Sable

Show Notes

Running Time: 00:17:00

Listen to iFanboy's conversation with writer Mark Sable as we discuss the new Image Comics series Graveyard of Empires. Set in modern day Afghanistan, this book mixes the realism of movies like The Hurt Locker with supernatural zombie horror. Hear how Sable and Paul Azaceta created a gripping look at modern warfare as a setup for a zombie infestation that force hated enemies to fight against a common and unthinkable foe.

Azaceta’s work is pretty great – this colorist is a pretty fantastic fit for him though.

  2. petevaldez petevaldez says:

    Super art!

  3. ctrosejr ctrosejr says:

I was interested in this until I read the word “zombie.”  A modern tale of warfare told in Afghanistan would be really interesting, I think.  YMMV.

  4. Chris Neseman ChrisNeseman says:

Don’t let the Zombies shake you away from this. As we discussed in the podcast, this is much more of a modern war book than a zombie horror story. This fist issue for sure.

  5. MegaPhilip MegaPhilip says:

Wow! Haven’t listened to the interview yet, but how many issues is this going?
