Comments

  1. Donald O’Connor is who I think Josh was trying to think of, unless he got it later in the podcast…:)

  2. Remenders Deadpool is the only version I’ll ever read. And he’s made Psylocke my favorite X-man.

  3. Oh, Point One was fine, you churl!

  4. I have two comments

    A) Combine was probably the word you were looking for (that is generally the umbrella term for machines that harvest crops)

    B) …city folk… (shakes head)

  5. How about LoKID?

  6. some love for cake right on, not the kind you eat settle down ron

  7. Yay! So happy to hear you liked JIM so much ron. Glad to finally have someone reading it on here. 🙂

Although the way Gillen does the modern day beats (like memes or iPhones) is almost exactly like how JMS handled it on his run.

  8. Ron has joined the Collective. Now to just assimilate these other two.

I mean, um….glad you enjoyed Journey into Mystery!

In my early years of playing EverQuest, I totally had EQ dreams. But they were work dreams too. So I’d be at work viewing my coworkers in the original EQ UI. This sucker here. http://www.tentonhammer.com/system/files/images/Everquest.jpg From the sound of it, you guys played WoW as much as I used to play EQ. It was…a lot… Barely get a chance now though. Still love it almost 11 years later. I don’t recall ever having ones based on established comic book characters.

I am still getting a grey X instead of the player. I’ve used Firefox, IE, Opera, and the stock Android browser. 🙁

  9. The fact that you have Warcraft and Walking Dead dreams but not comics dreams is interesting. Maybe something to do with the audio/motion element?

That said, I did have a comics dream once. It involved the JLA and zombies.

  10. Another great show, nice one

What’s wrong with Jeph Loeb having Nova say ‘epic fail’? He’s killing it so hard, he’s ridiculous!

    Er ….

Seriously, how do you know when modern slang is out of date. I never get the memos.

  11. I love it when Ron yells “God damn” really loud. Now THAT’s passion!

  12. Just wondering, what was so great about John Byrne back in the day and why is he laughable now? I saw some of his stuff in idw’s angel comic and it looked fine, just a little dated that’s all.

  13. Ron, did you like the all Mephesto issue of Journey into mystery? i thought it was just great.

  14. When Josh is talking about the fishing, the cell phone, and the beer, he’s TOTALLY channeling Jack O’Neil right?

    RIGHT?

  15. In all fairness to the gratuitous panty shot in Resurrection Man; the Body Doubles have always been about the sexy. In the old DCU, there’s an issue where Carmen flashes an opponent in order to get the upper hand. (And – if I recall correctly, she was also seeking to fund an adult version of the “Wizard of Oz”).

  16. Dear Josh

I am truly sorry about the shotty review on the site, but I had made it as a rough draft.
The intentions to fix it and make it eligible were there, although the lack of a edit button prevented me from doin so.
No you are not hooked on phonics, you were just stuck on a shotty review reading.

    P.S
I am definitely writing all my reviews on notepad and proofreading them before posting.

  17. Just out of morbid curiousity, Mr. Ron Richards, which were the artists on Uncanny X-Force did you not like in particular? I’m trying to think back and I can only recall Mark Brooks during the ‘AoA’ stint. Other than him, I really dug Ribic as an alernate to Opena. Was it Brooks or am I missing someone? Brooks totally took me out of the mood. How bout you?
