  1. Oh, thank God, Jim survived

    • I can finally sleep easy, glad he called back. Great show, great last few minutes of banter (which I need more of in my life) and I will write a review on iTunes now. We got any more NYC Comic Con video coming up?

  2. Although I understand the comparison, I’m a bit disappointed to hear you guys dismiss Bedlam as just a Joker story after one issue. Yes, it has that feel, but so does every other story with an insane, smart villain. Should all villains be dumb or bruisers so as not to draw a comparison to the Joker?

  3. I love it when you guys talk about bad JMS books.

  4. loved the question and answers regarding Marvel NOW. very interesting both pro & con.

  5. My shop had Superman: Earth 1 vol. 2 at the counter as an impulse buy. I may check it out from the library out of morbid curiosity but now I’m glad I resisted.

  6. With Superman Earth one Vol. 2 a lot of other reviews are saying it’s better then the first one. Honestly your review really cements this feeling i have had that this is going to sell great on amazon and in Barnes and noble but get much fanboy hate. Superman Earth one vol 3 is already on the way.

  7. I really liked both volumes of Superman: Earth One. An interesting new take on Superman, but even if you ignore the large mythos it’s carrying, still a damn good story in both of them. And great art. I had a few criticisms, yes (JMS keeps on having his characters explain out loud what they’ve learned, for one), and I would not want this to be the mainstream Superman, but I still really liked it.

That said, if Superman starts jogging around the world in volume three, or whatever, I’m out.

  8. Josh buddy, the Keldor toy wasn’t a he-man body with purple hair, it was a skeletor figure with swapable heads (regular keldor, burnt melted face keldor and regular skeletor ) , I think you are thinking of Faker that was blue skinned He-man. The origin of Keldor goes back far beyond the 2003 SDCC but to the mini comics that came with the figures back in the 80’s. JF did an amazing job with this issue taking different aspects from skeletor and merging them into one story, very Geoff Johnsian.
