Comments

  1. Ron hates Bianchi.

  2. Yay! Someone else likes Stars!

  3. Is there Starman spoilers in the Starman/Congorillia section?

  4. My Sundays feel normal again.  Thanks, guys!

  5. @SummerSleep  no spoilers as far as I could tell…

  6. @ron, Thanks for telling me. I’m reading through the series, and I love that you picked the book, but I was worried about the spoilers. Great review btw.

  7. Just for future reference I’m lazy and my screenname is from my school email address, ha. Just with an extra 1. I do like your take on it though and will now be saying it like that.

    Great show, glad you’re back.

  8. Brett Booth drew the Larfleeze Christmas special.  also, he did a Redwall adaptation graphic novel.  it’s short and kiddified, but it was real nice looking

  9. Hex: Need to check that out!

Ultimate Cap: I felt the same way, love the team but the book itself wasn’t particularly enjoyable. Wish I hadn’t have know the whole story was about Veitnam Cap to begin with, think I would have enjoyed #1 better if that would have come as a surprise.

27: I’m with Josh, thoroughly enjoying it. I don’t play any instruments but this has been really fun and I’m totally loving the Golden Age format. One thing though is I would like to see this as a 6 issue series I think. I don’t want to tell creators wha tto do but it seems like the 4-issue story trend that I’ve seen recently is more marketting driven than story driven, I’m one to be hesitant to pay $3.99 an issue but I’d gladly but 6 issues of this. Up to the creator I suppose.

  10. Wu Tang Clan Ain’t ‘Nuthin To Fuck With!!!

  11. Great show, but Ron keeps saying “amalgam” when he means “analogue”. I’m losing sleep over it.

  12. so my first ever voicemal makes it into the show…. and my work computer wont play the podcast… that clock is going to move so slow today

  13. @RapidEyeMovement  You shouldn’t, because he’s not going to stop.

  14. @Josh: “Sanctimonious” to describe JMS’s style of late is perfect. Well done.

  15. “Billy the Kid…” was great.

I too feel burned by J. Michael Straczynski. But mainly because he won’t finish The Twelve!

  16. Really want to pick up X’ed Out after that review. Sounds a little like a Daniel Clowes book. Have any you guys read David Boring or Like a Velvet Glove Cast In Iron…?

  17. Given Ben from Austin’s question, and Ron’s punk disillusionment, Stiff Little Fingers – Nobody’s Hero would’ve been appropriate song for episode.

  18. thanks for the answer on Acme. i’ll add Jimmy Corrigan to my amazon wishlist.

  19. Lucy and the football is the perfect amalgam to JMS and his readers.

  20. TEN YEARS!  Ron reminded me of Jeremy Piven from this clip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pupHeSHOEE) of Grosse Pointe Blank

  21. Great show. Also, we shall see who is right about Silver Surfer because he is getting a mini series real soon.

  22. Stars! Woo! One of my favourite bands.  Also they’re from Montreal 🙂

  23. Any chance of you guys ever releasing an .ogg version of the podcast to download?  I feel dirty using proprietary codecs (mp3) when open source codecs exist (ogg-vorbis).

  24. I don’t get the in what happened in the closet joke
