What are the iFanboys buying? Check it out here - Conor, Ron, Josh and Gordon the Intern.

Hey, where's Casper and the Spectrals on the list?

Posted by PraxJarvin on 10/26/09 at 02:35 PM

Monster fricken week! I normally try to keep my stack reasonably slim, but there are 16 books that I'm pulling this week! Naturally, I'm looking forward to the halfway point of Blackest Night, as well as the continuation of the already stellar Superman Secret Origins. I will also be picking up the X-Men Necrosha crossover, though I'll be holding off all judgements until I read the first two parts this week. I'm also highly looking forward to the 50th issue of X-Factor (or is it the 199th?), as that'll show the conclusion to the long story arc that has been taking place. What a crazy week!

BQ: I always enjoyed getting mini Twix, though I also enjoy the thick Tootsie Roll logs that some people give out.

My wallet is in trouble this week.. my first pass at the new comics list is 21 books.  Maybe I'll cut that back when I get to my LCS.  I'm most looking forward to Blackest Night #4, Green Lantern #47, Nova #30 (30? really.. Nova made it to 30?), Superman: Secret Origin #2..

BQ:  Do they make halloween size whatchamacallits?  If not.. I'm going with fun size Twix.

Posted by siraim on 10/26/09 at 02:38 PM

Detective, New Avengers, X-Factor, and Models Inc (which always seems to be left off the Diamond list, but I'm pretty sure it's shipping.)

BQ: Pumpkin shaped candy-corns.  (Does that mean they're not candy corns?  Anyway, the pumpkin things!)

Posted by ohcaroline on 10/26/09 at 02:38 PM

Really looking forward to Superman Secret Origins, Blackest Night and GL. I have a whopping 12 books on my list...which feels like too much, but I only pulled 5 last week. X-Factor 50 will be a game day decision.

Posted by RocketRacoon on 10/26/09 at 02:39 PM

@ohcaroline: It is indeed shipping, as well as a Zombie Variant version of the cover. Cause we know people cant get enough of those zombie covers

Posted by comicBOOKchris on 10/26/09 at 02:40 PM

I have ***26*** books I'd normally pick up.

 26!!!

It's weeks like this that Marvel and DC actively MAKE ME drop books because of their scheduling.

Posted by iGotKittyPryde on 10/26/09 at 02:41 PM

damn this is up early today

BQ: Kit Kat's or Reese's cups

Posted by RoiVampire on 10/26/09 at 02:43 PM

My list says I'm buying 25 books this week. I say diff'rent. Some hard cuts are coming.

Of course, I did just brazenly add Green Lantern and Blackest Night despite the fact that I haven't read the half dozen previous issues of either, which means they're probably the first to go. Oh, Green Lantern. I almost bought you. Maybe next week.

BQ: Now that there are Reeses Peanut Butter Pumpkins, why is other candy still being made?

Posted by Jimski on 10/26/09 at 02:44 PM

Punisher #10

Punisher: The List

FF 572

Detective

Maybes: Abe Sapien, Pilot Season Declassified

 BQ: Snickers.

Posted by miyamotofreak on 10/26/09 at 02:58 PM

So many good comics! I'm most looking forward to: Blackest Night, Superman:Secret Origin, Green Lantern(Three Johns books!!!), Detective Comics, Fantastic Four(Sooooo excited), JSA, Superman, Gotham City Sirens, Batman, World's Finest and Arkham Reborn. I might pick up Pinoccho Vampire Slayer when i have a little more cash.

BQ: Those Reese's peanutbutter cups shaped like Bats/Jack-O-Lanterns.

Posted by WinTheWonderboy on 10/26/09 at 03:00 PM

Atom Eve and Rex-Splode mini starts up this week, pretty excited for it.  Love Rex.  Oh, and a little thing called Blackest Night.  That should be fun.

BQ: Some old guy used to give out mini bibles and no candy.  I preferred the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, or Laffy Taffy

Posted by drakedangerz on 10/26/09 at 03:02 PM

Fantastic Four, Detective, Blackest Night, BH: Titans, Green Lantern, UC: Avengers, Arkham Reborn, World's Finest, Anti-Venom, Clone Saga, Superman: Secret Origin, and Batman... Huge week for me

BQ: Three Musketeers

Posted by Slockhart on 10/26/09 at 03:05 PM

I'm really looking forward to Fantastic Four! Also, might get the Dark Reign: Punisher one-shot cause I like Romita's art, as well as the Dark Reign: Wolverine one-shot because I like the way Jason Aaron writes Wolverine.  I think I'm going to pick up Wolverine: Weapon X after I stopped reading the initial arc because this one sounds really interesting and a preview I read was really good.

BQ: Kit-Kat are definitely my fave! Curse all you people and your ability to eat nuts!

Posted by DMaggot on 10/26/09 at 03:10 PM

@drakedangerz mini-bibles vs peanut butter cups (reeses are the only kind.. all others taste weird) isn't really a fair comparison. Who would actually prefer the mini-bible?

Posted by siraim on 10/26/09 at 03:12 PM

@siraim: I would prefer them, actually. For target practice :)

Posted by comicBOOKchris on 10/26/09 at 03:22 PM

Looking forward to X-Necrosha, New Mutants, and X-Force.  Keeping my fingers crossed for the new x-crossover.

BQ: Reeses PB Cups

Posted by cutty on 10/26/09 at 03:31 PM

@siraim-Well, a more fair comparison would be mini bibles vs. mini toothbrush and floss (both of which I used to get)

Oh and walnuts.  Got lots of walnuts

Posted by drakedangerz on 10/26/09 at 03:44 PM

Lots of great stuff this week.It doesn't seem many people talk about it but Ultimate Avengers has been great.I can't get enough of the Pacheco artwork.

B.Q. The kind that's free.

Posted by harwellpkg on 10/26/09 at 03:45 PM

This is a big, sick week of comics. Blackest Night and tie-ins, the two Dark Reign Lists books I'm most looking forward to, FF, big ol' Dynamo 5 25th issue, Atom Eve mini, Punisher, New Avengers, two Ultimate books, Superman Secret Origin - just a butt-load of good looking stuff.

I'm most excited about Pinocchio Vampire Slayer OGN - met the writer at Baltimore con and he just sold me on it. A little wooden boy fighting vampires? That's a Hollywood pitch if I ever heard one, and I'm sold. Really looking forward to this one.

BQ: Those little boxes of Junior Mints - just the perfect amount.

Posted by Dan on 10/26/09 at 03:46 PM

Fingers are tired.  I can't type all of the books names.  Aside from the prior entries, I'm excited for X-Force #20 and Fantastic 4 #572.  Hickman and Eaglesham are knocking it out of the park.  Speaking of parks, Wednesday is also the day that the Phillies will win game 1 of the world series.  And Pearl Jam plays the Spectrum.  Who has the time to read 18 books?  Honestly.

BQ: Whoppers.  Or stale pumpkin peeps.

Posted by ato220 on 10/26/09 at 03:48 PM

I can't wait to read Superman: Secret Origins #2.....

BQ: My favorite is Cup cakes!.. Two! No. Six! Twelve! Bakers dozen! You know I'm crazy for those cup cakes, iFanboy!!!!!

Lots of good stuff this week.

BQ: The Hundred Thousand Dollar Bar

Posted by PaulMontgomery on 10/26/09 at 04:19 PM

Most weeks I typically try to drop books, but this week I'm going to try to pick some up. Wolverine Weapon X seems to be hitting a cool arc, and even though I dropped the book after the first 2 issues, this arc is luring me back in. Aaron is hard to deny. Also going to be checking out the Punisher The List because of Remenders recent Talksplode.

Picking up Fantastic Four and plenty of DC goodness: Unknown Soldier, BN, GL, Superman: Secret Origin, and Detective Comics.

BQ: Pie!

Posted by Ruo21 on 10/26/09 at 04:25 PM

Huge week! Most excited for New Avengers & War Machine, while X-Men Forever and Ms. Marvel are on the chopping block. And, of course, every issue of Detective Comics brings us that much closer to the possibility of a trade coming out...

BQ:  Take 5, probably.

Looks like a very strong week (not a weak week) for DC Comics! Three Blackest Night book, Superman Secret Origin & throw in some Jason Aaron Wolverine just for gravy.

BQ- Choc-dipped wombat balls.

Posted by WadeWilson on 10/26/09 at 06:17 PM

Every week is huge!!!  Highlights I can see are Blackest Night, Detective, Unknown Soldier, FF and Hercules.  Remender/JRJR on Punisher should be groovy too.

BQ:  Halloween was never a big thing in the Uk when I was a wee lad, but it's taken off in a big way now that I have a son.  Personally I go for Cadbury's chocolate, and any candy that has that sour/fizzy/sugary taste.

Posted by hellboy42 on 10/26/09 at 07:37 PM

Big superhero week. Green Lantern and Blackest, Secret Warriors and Fantastic Four, Detective Comics and Superman Secret Origin, New Avengers and Ultimate Avengers.

Abe Sapien... maybe

BQ: As an australian, my favourite hallowen candy (or lollies as we call them) is waiting three days and getting hammered at a Melboourne Cup Day party.

If you don't know, here's what happens. Australia has a huge horse race, millions of dollar bet, the country take half a day off to watch. BUT! The best part about the day is that, for some reason, the usual manners of drinking don't apply and people will literally be falling down drunk in the centre of own major cities by 2pm. It's a wonderful day.

Posted by edward on 10/26/09 at 07:44 PM

Going with the Bat-books: BATMAN & Detective Comics also F4 & New Avengers.  I would also love to pick up the issues for Unknown Soldier and Secret Warriors but Im waiting on the trades.

I'd also dig getting the OM Logan but cant justify $35 for a HC I have the issues for.

BQ: easy one its all in a name; 100 grand!

@HailScott, I've been waiting for Freakangels #3 for a while now, considering I could have read it online for free, it says something about the calibre of Warren Ellis. Apparently he can't believe people are buying it.

Oh and only after the first two issues of Fantastic Four have to say it's risen to one of my favourite comics. Looking forward to that too!

Posted by Aquaman on 10/27/09 at 06:58 PM

Yes, plenty of Bat-books for me:  I'm giving Tony Daniel a chance on Batman.  BFTC wasn't anything special, but it was readable.  I can't wait to see what Batwoman's origin is all about cuz I never read 52.  Then I am gonna read the other Batwoman arc all over again after this one.  Arkham Reborn looks cool. The BFTC one shot was pretty neat.  Not a big fan of the art in Gotham City Sirens but I'm following the story.  I can't wait until they put a new artist on there!

I wanna get Worlds Finest and FF too.  Hope I have enough cash cuz I'm just gonna shoplift if I don't.

BQ:  Kit Kat
