  1. I’ve been looking forward to this since the last page of #12. First book i’ll be reading on wednesday. *BOOM!*

    • I caught up with Wonder Woman after I heard about the last page of #12. I am a big New Gods fan! While the book is amazing on its own, bringing in the New Gods will be awesome!

  2. I just recently read all 14 issues of this title in one sitting – which I highly recommend you try. This Wonder Woman comic is fan fucking tastic! A brilliant read. In a weird way almost a Vertigoesq book. Echos of Preacher and Sandman for sure.

  3. What a great week to be a comic book reader. Azzarello, Waid, Aaron, the list goes on and on and…

  4. DC is almost nowhere to be seen at the top of this weeks most pulled books. Looks like Marvel is back on top.

    • Marvel is relaunching everything, it’s no different than DC last september.

    • Yeah, this is making me sad. All these overpriced books being lapped up makes me a sad puppy.

I did love FF – so I guess I could try Hawkeye or Daredevil, which both get great reviews – but I’m staying away from all that other stuff.

I’m happy with my 2.99 DCs (not thrilled with 3.99 Before Watchmen but I am biting the bullet and am enjoying them.)

Wonder Woman has been awesome, though!

  5. Loving this book. The New Gods being interpreted along with the rest sound really cool!

  6. Dear god how much i love this book. The New Gods being thrown in just makes this even better and i don’t even know too much about them to be as excited like everyone else. But damn will this be good.

  7. Gods, it’s a good time to be a fan of the gods between Wonder Woman and Thor.

  8. I’ve only been reading comics at the volume that I currently am for about a year now, if you’d have told me back then that in a years time I’d be reading a Wonder Woman book but not reading the main superman title I’d have probably punched you in the throat.

Times have changed and it took me a while to learn that you should probably follow creators rather than characters. Man I love this book!

  9. Great stuff. Azzarello is really weaving such a detailed tapestry with this book. It’s almost like its on a constant build in a strange way. There are payoffs along the way, but he’s doing so much world-building here and yet it hasn’t gotten old. It’s really interesting. It’s also exactly what the character needed.

I’d also like to take a moment and thank the gods that we’ve been able to have Chiang interiors for 8 of these 15 issues. He draws such a beautiful Diana.

This book continues to be the strongest of the New 52, and the only title to actually accomplish the mission statement. I can’t wait to see how the New Gods factor into it.
