  1. This series is so amazing. It should be on everyone’s pull list.

  2. I think this is currently the longest running book on my pull list.

    • I have pretty much every Ultimate Spidey issue ever. Its what got me into comics!

    • Me too, I’m only missing the first four

    • I have all the Ultimate Universe comics ever! Yep including all the crossovers, minis etc etc. And I have to say, Ultimate Spider-Man has always been the best.

    • Wow thats impressive. I’ve only got the miles morales stuff but have read all of the peter parker stuff aswell. I was going to make a point about publishers restarting their books a lot, and that even though this is only issue 23 it’s the longest running book on my list. Before Marvel now we had ASM at 700 and others.

  3. Really looking forward to this one. Read an interview with Bendis where he said this issue takes picks up one year later after the last issue (and if you read the last issue you know it was a doozy).

Miles is older and wiser and perhaps a bit more angry at the world.

  4. I liked this book more when Miles wasn’t just Black Peter Parker. It was almost as good as Giffen/Rogers Blue Beetle.

  5. I love the idea of a break. Wonder what new problems come up because of that.

  6. This is going to be my first issue, after re-reading Spider-men last week I decided I should give this a shot.

  7. This was a great issue. I was a little apprehensive about the idea that Miles’ mom died too but this issue proves that we’re all a little too reactionary with our columns and podcast complaining these days. This is only one issue as well but the follow up is leading somewhere very promising. Bendis gets all of these characters so well. PotW.

  8. If you haven’t been reading this book and want to jump on, this is the perfect issue to start at.. It’ll give you a solid base point to start at. Even people who have been reading since issue #1 are being reintroduced to every character because a lot has changed over the year between last issue and this issue, during which Miles was retired from super heroing. .

If you’ve been reading since the beginning you’re gonna love this issue for sure. I was a little disappointed that Sarah Pichelli left but after seeing this issue I’m not worried about a thing. UCSM will continue to be one of the nicest looking comics on the stands

  9. Wow. I love this book month in and month out. Great (though I stopped reading with the cross over nonsense). 5 stars in my opinion. Recommended.

A good idea to jump ahead a year. Bendis hits on a lot of the Spider-man staples, but keeps Miles Morales unique. No easy feat.

  10. I dropped off this book several months ago during the president Steve Rodgers event….lost complete interest. Think I will see about picking up the new stuff in trade. Sounds like everyone is really liking it.

  11. My man Marquez is back with mad skills. I LOVE this book. It has character building moments at every turn and to say Miles is ” just black Peter Parker”, comes off completely ignorant . He is certainly unique from Parker in so many ways.
