I completely forgot about this series. I’ll see if I can grab issue 1 as well.
Some people didn’t care for it or the GL NG Annual, but I loved them both. It has this wild wacky Keith Giffen in space thing that I loved. Reminded me a little of his late great Doom Patrol series. It’s kinda like the Running Man, but it was damn good.
And the Larfleeze back up was fun, too.
Why is this a $3.99 book?
There’s a backup story.
I felt lost, but I’m far from condemning this book after only one issue. It has promise.
Captain K-Rot & Blue Beetle give this book a much needed injection of personality. Loved the panel of k-rot robo jumpkicking BB:)
This was really funny.
Which is surprising because DC doesn’t really do funny anymore. Not unless it’s followed by a decapitation or fridging.
Artwork was creative too. The purple shadow fight was pretty cool.
