How fast is this gonna sell out? I don’t really have the funds for it right now, but I don’t imagine the great Amazon deal will exist much longer

  5. davidmc968 davidmc968 says:

Thanks for the heads up about the amazon deal.  I jumped on it immediately.  75 dollars on amazon.

  6. Meanmrmustid Meanmrmustid says:

Hmm, amazon is shipping this already. First time I remember them shipping something diamond date. Wonder if they are getting other books as had nothing for generation lost or xforce under the gun.

  7. RahUniQue RahUniQue says:

    Is this his complete run?

  8. davidmc968 davidmc968 says:

@RahUniQue  Yes He started as writer and artist with issue #337 (Nov. 1983) and continued until #367 (May 1986). Sal Buscema became the artist on the title with #368 but Simonson continued to write the book until issue #382 (Aug. 1987).  The last part copied from wikipedia.

  9. I scored this for 60 bucks on DCBS. Yet another reason preordering through DCBS is awesome.

I’m so stoked for this.  I wonder how much this book weighs…

  11. AmirCat AmirCat says:

Mine is shipping on April 14th. I am so excited. In my excitement I went to a comic shop and bought some back issues to get ready.

  12. Osyris Osyris says:

Oh thank God this book was re-colored. 80′s coloring gives me nausea. Awesome book.

  13. Osyris Osyris says:

    @JRScherer
U could kill someone w/this book if u wanted to. That’s how much it weighs, 7.6 lbs to be correct.

  14. Funcrusher Funcrusher says:

Just ordered from Amazon even though I maybe shouldn’t have. I saw the recoloring and and it was too amazing to pass up. Biggest Omnibus yet I read. Effing pumped to get this.

Dumb question, how do you rate a book?  I’d like to assign a rating without having to write a review.  Thanks

    Josh

I’m mighty impressed with the coloring.  I was hoping the colors would be a closer representation to the original realse just like the Jack Kirby’s Fourth World Omnibus, but the new coloring was a great enhancement.  I’m glad all of Simonson’s classic run is collected in one volume.  Looking forward to the IDW black and white version shot directly from the original art.  I’m always happy to show support for Walter Simonson’s work!

This is, hands down, the BEST Omnibus Edition I’ve ever seen!!!!!.

I’m a DC guy, or at least I used to be, but DC’s collected editions have been SO lame lately that for the first time I decided to get the Omnibus Edition everybody’s talking about.  Is expensive, yes, but once I got it… IT WORTH IT!!!.

Time to learn DC.  Time to learn!.  Thanks to your greedyness I purchase from your competition.
