  1. Im scared shitless

  2. They gonna kill Carl again?

  3. In Soviet Russia, Carl kills you!

  4. I’d like to know more about Negun so I can hate him and cheer his demise. The Governor character had so much more depth. As a result, his defeat was a huge moment. I don’t feel the same about Negun.

    • You’re assuming Negan is the one going down though….

    • How ya like ‘im now? 😉

    • Negan’s been around for one issue(0 when you posted) and you believe that he doesn’t have as much depth as the Governor? Hrm. The truth is that this character will wind up having more depth than the governor if you can see where Kirkman’s going with the series. The Governor committed twisted acts for no reason, Negan is attempting to build an empire. How have all civilizations come into dominance throughout history? By determining who has the bigger stick. Negan has the biggest stick, and her name is Lucille.

    • Spoilers^. Sorry, not used to posting for TWD.

    • #1: Negan has been discussed for multiple issues.

#2: His group is just a bunch of bad guys who threaten people, do bad things and want power. Fine-seen that a lot. There was much more character development with Governor, his people and the community as compared to this group.
Negun’s speech was just a bunch of profanity and a desire for power. Doesn’t strike me as special or Kirkman’s best.

#3: Look, I’m glad most everybody loves this issue. I won’t go into spoilers, so I’ll stop here.

  5. REALLY LOOKING FOWARD TO THIS

  6. So exited to get this tomorrow. How crazy would It be if Rick dies and Lucille is the cause of it some how?

  7. Can’t wait!

  8. Read this, won’t spoil it but gonna say I’m kinda disappointed in how this turned out. While the outcome is disturbing I don’t see how it will be as big as some of the other things that have happened. Maybe my hopes were just to high for this.

  9. SPOILER FREE REVIEW:
    Shit’s fucked.

  10. The 50th issue didn’t have anything major happen.

So my expectations are not for a Governor level ending.

  11. Holy shit.

  12. Chilling. Brutal. The beginning of the end of the end?

  13. Haven’t read it yet but the Frank Quitely variant I received at the store is b-e-a-utiful!! Dope.

  14. Amazing! Bit of a let down though, didn’t live up to the hype in my opinion. Amazing all the same.

    • I was thinking Glenn or Maggie would die for some reason. They are fucked.

    • I was thinking Glenn as well. It’s just, for me, what happened could have been any issue of WD. I mean, they killed Abraham not long ago…. I think the only thing that really made this a truly epic #100 were all the variant covers.

#75 with the alien invasion was a better milestone issue in my opinion.

    • Kind of agree @super, although it does seem like this is more of a bleak circumstance in which they find themselves. Maybe this should have been called “No Way Out” instead of the arc about the herd. I might have also had my expectations too high. I was thinking it was 48 pages too, I saw a few sentences someone posted somewhere hyping it, saying they had already seen the issue. Set myself up for a let down, but enjoyed it anyway. The suspense was done well.

  15. Wow. Holy shit… I was expecting something else, not something so incredibly personal. I haven’t felt this way after reading a comic… well, perhaps ever. Damn.

And I knew he was the next to die. I’ve been waiting for it, but I didn’t think it was gonna be now or in this fashion. I seriously cannot wait to see vengeance come down on Negan.

    • I am hoping Carl is the one to do it. For me it just feels like he has been building and is ready to just explode.

    • That would be incredible. Something needs to snap in that kid, maybe even go off the rails and become an enemy of the group. Hmmm…

  16. I’m really excited to read this & see what happens. the problem is I just picked up the final TPB yesterday. So I have to read it and then issues 97, 98 & 99 (which are sitting & waiting). Trying real hard not to look at any spoilers. Man I better start reading fast tinight!

  17. Wrkngclasshero (@joinedtofollow) says:

    WTF. That is all…

Or as Josh would say “Well that just happened.”

  18. I had the idea that they’d be in the middle of killing zombies and Zombie Lori would come shuffling up to Rick and/or Carl, holding parts of Zombie Baby Judith, and Rick would have to put his axe in her head. I was let down in the sense that “one of the darkest moments in Rick Grimes’ life” wasn’t more personal, but it was a great issue other than that.

    • More personal than the guy who saved his life way back when, who has been a constant friend and good guy for so long. More personal than his death being because Rick wouldn’t give in? Yeah, you’re right, that isn’t personal at all.

    • I didn’t say it wasn’t personal, I just think having to put down your zombie wife and newborn would have been much more personal and darker. It was still pretty damn chilling.

    • I think that could be pulled off all right, but I think it rides a very fine line of being cheesy, cliche and sensationalistic.

  19. So this was the first comic I read of the week and all I have to say is snyder better have his A game to beat this out. I have not felt this fucked up after reading a comic in a loooonnng time.

  20. Man, this comic! I just read it and it’s just heartbreaking.

  21. Wow, I am shocked. SHOCKED! I still got goose bumps….

    Rest in peace, ***********.

  22. Probably spoilers:

That was extremely hard to read. I think it was the “train” comment that got me the most. Kids getting hurt is often too much for me.

I cannot wait to see Rick tear that fucking bastard apart.

  23. It’s incredibly frightening how desensitized this series has made me after 100 issues. That scene was hard to read, but not nearly as hard as it would’ve been 75 issues ago. This book is actually turning into some kind of social experiment; If you write a story in which none of the characters are safe, and you write it for a long enough time, do you run the risk of putting so much distance between your audience and your characters that the book no longer holds any meaning? Food for thought.

I admit it wasn’t as dramatic as they made it sound, but at this point what could be? It was definitely a milestone (both story-wise and for Kirkman and co.). Can I just say that I already love Negan as a villain. He’s got that kind of Tarantino bad-guy/high school bully persona that always ends up providing the most satisfying kind of revenge. I really enjoy his confidence and the fact that he never shuts the fuckedy fuck up. It’s the most original voice Kirkman has given any character in at least 25 issues. I’m excited to see what comes next.

  24. The offending scene didn’t nearly make me cry like a certain death half the series ago – but it made me almost nauseous. I had to put my hand over a particular panel while I finished the rest of the page.

This was disgusting. I loved it and I hated it. Can’t wait for next issue!

  25. really bummed about that turn of events. =(

advice if you haven’t read it yet….wait till your dinner has settled cause some of those pages made me feel kinda ill. Also know when to say when with the chinese takeout.

  26. My only real issue with WD 100 was Negan’s dialogue, very juvenile. It was really hard for me to take him seriously, no one curses like that. It kinda reminded me of the South Park episode were they saw how many times they say ” shit” in thirty minutes.

    • I think his language was obviously intentional. Like someone pointed out over on the POTW thread, he’s like one of those guys who knows he’s not the smartest, and he overcompensates with bad language in an effort to appear intimidating. People like that do exist, and they’re almost always stupid assholes.

    • Ever been on a construction site? Ever been on a construction site at the end of the world?

    • Agree. There was no content to the speech. It was generic bully talk with swear words. Kirkman is usually such a master at character’s and dialogue. I was very disappointed. I really wanted more.

This issue relies on shock value. Apparently, the iFanboy community is fine with it.

  27. In a world where everything’s gone to shit and nothing makes sense any more, I think there’s room for all kinds of over the top personalities. We can’t even begin to imagine how this would affect different people’s psyches.

  28. I need to stop pretending like I know where this book is going. This issue established what could be a long term villain and set up a new major conflict. Really didn’t expect it to go this way.

  29. Robert Kickman you mother fucker!!!!!! my favorite character!!!!!
