there’s really not enough buzz for this.

    this is pretty damn great.

I agree. For some reason Marvel keeps down playing the good Spidey events like The Gauntlet. I mean, Spider-Island far surpassed Fear Itself but I know people who still haven’t read it. Now this is getting downplayed by AvsX (not that I’m not excited for that). Either way, I have a feeling that either this issue or AvsX 1 will be my POTW.

  2. Flash923 Flash923 says:

Yes!! Other than spidey’s new helmet I am really looking forward to this event swining into full gear. (Puns galore intended)
He looks like Spidey meets Red Hood…… That is all of the negativity I have towrds this title right now otherwise this is a great title!! Slott, Caselli and the gang are giving us some really great spidey stories that have been pushing Spidey to the top of my favorite characters list.

  3. Avistann Avistann says:

Dan Slott writes damn good events and this one looks no different.

  4. OnASunday OnASunday says:

That new Iron Man suit gets uglier every time it’s drawn.

  5. player1 player1 says:

I don’t mind that they play down some of these events.

Lately, these “smaller” events are the ones that I’m looking for.

  6. mike80 says:

Slott’s stories have been very refreshing for me. The guantlet and spider island were fun and this arc has the sinister six and the avengers, doesn’t get much better.

  7. JokersNuts JokersNuts says:

Loving this book right now. I hope Slott doesn’t leave anytime soon.

  8. al2mrt al2mrt says:

AvX 0 was garbage…I’m not excited at all for it, Slott wasn’t on my faves list until spider island, now I’m a fan and I hope the spidey stories stay intense, other than this the marvel universe seems to be in a slump, I still pull a ton of marvel issues weekly but DC is killing it….c’mon spidey give me something to look forward to!

    • mike80 says:

Just read AvX #1 and it was actually pretty good. Wasn’t interested at all in it but it surprised me. I wasn’t a dc fan at all till the new 52 and I have to admit it isexciting compared to marvel right now. I haved dropped alot of marvel titles recently, they need to be more creative.

  9. Sevenzro1 Sevenzro1 says:

Looking foward to this! I could do without the armour though.

  10. kingjoeg kingjoeg says:

This is so much better than AvX. My pick of the week, thank you Dan Slott and Caselli.

  11. DrewHLMW says:

I liked A vs. X #1 but this blew it away.

    Spiderman = amazing

  12. JokersNuts JokersNuts says:

Great, fun stuff- loved everything with Thor in this issue!

  13. cubman987 cubman987 says:

    Loved this.

  14. TheRealVenom TheRealVenom says:

He punched Al Gore in the face! Oh god I can’t remember the last time a comic book has made me laugh this hard!

ok this was 2nd from the top of my stack this week and i can already tell you this is gonna get my POTW

  15. RoiVampire RoiVampire says:

    Did Thor just kill Electro?

    • Neeks Neeks says:

Not sure but he I felt that he made great use of his powers on him I thought that wa clever and didn’t see that one coming

  16. Spider-Man is the best superhero in the Marvel Universe! I loved the back and forth between Spider-Man and Doctor Octopus in their plans to outwit each other.

  17. grn_hooligan grn_hooligan says:

honestly i have read this and avx and i have to say spidey took it this week for me yea avx is cool but spiderman is just again proving his worth to me that much more i kinda took a break from him after the three movies bc i felt he was sold out but i have been tagging along since spider island and this is one of my favorite books right now

    • jonny jonny says:

I’m the same way about this. I read AVX first and loved it but then I finally read this last night and I was awestruck. Seriously had dreams of Doc Ock and Rhino coming after me. shit was intense.

  18. Flash923 Flash923 says:

This was a 4.5 and I agree this was very intense!! Doc Ock is just sick looking and really brings it!! Avengers Down!!
