I still haven’t decided if I like this book or not. Let’s buy another issue and find out, shall we?
The first issue was my p.o.w., if future issues are close to as good Im in for the long haul.
It was my first experience with Nick Spencer and I was impressed by his script and by Lieber’s art (smoother inking than I’d ever seen him use before). And until the Superior or Slott era wraps up on Spidey proper I’ll look forward to rooting for this cast and hope for some other cameos from Spidey rogues…
I really enjoyed the light-hearted tone in the first issue. It’s great to have a monthly series that doesn’t take itself so serious and yet yields such a terrific experience. The first issue was my Pick of the Week!
I loved the first issue, but that rectangle gradient behind the masthead has got to go!!!
Preview looks like this issue is keeping pace with #1. Very excited to read this within the next couple of days!
First issue was really fun! First book in a long time I can remember liking because I laughed so hard at it… in a good way.
Definitely getting this one
Issue#1 was definitely a breath of fresh air. I’m in this for the long-haul.
Some of the funniest stuff I’ve read in a while. This was great!
Nick Spencer, if you’re out there, did you have Fred Willard in mind for Partridge?
I could totally see that.
Still funny, still fun. Nothing like seeing supervillains hanging out doing mundane things together.
I love the framing device of the first page being a splash page of a hero with the caption “This guy right?”
