  1. Yes please.

  2. Trade wait for me, but interested

  3. I think they missed the boat on this one.

Five years ago, this title would’ve owned the charts.

  4. I love Miles. I never read the other Ultimate Spidey, but this one is pretty amazing. I hope the story where they meet isn’t too contrived. The amount of levity has been just right in Ultimate, but just too silly for me in Amazing.

    • Yeah, I love Spider-Man in theory, but enough with the fricken’ jokes already. I know that’s a draw for most people, but I think even more people would read it if Parker would just shut up already. My 2 pennies…

  5. When I first heard the announcement I was hesitant but Bendis is doing so good on the main Ultimate Spiderman book that I’ll give it a try.

Hope the story is worth breaking the Ultimate/616 lines.

  6. a rare misfire by Jim Cheung on the cover, the head’s look pasted on…

  7. Kind of really excited for this. Spider-Man’s been my favorite super hero since I was like 5 and the Miles Morales stuff has been fantastic, so this is kind of a no-brainer for me.

  8. I honestly have not read any of the Miles Morales issues of USM, but I’m still kind of psyched for this.

  9. USM is a trade read for me, and I’m only marginally interested in this. I may borrow the trade from the library when they have it.

  10. I thought I wanted to buy this, but then I read the preview pages and I was like, oh yeah, it’s Bendis. Right? Right. So y’know, I had a think on it some more and I mean, jeez, am I really gonna enjoy this? I mean, THIS. So, y’know, I don’t think I’ll get it.

  11. Its got the key ingredients of a great comic. 1. Peter Parker is in it. 2. Dan Slott’s not writing it.

This will be my first taste of the Ultimate Universe and it should be a good one!

  12. The only part of this i don’t like is that Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos aren’t involved. Travesty i tells ya.
Bendis is awesome don’t get me wrong but Slott should have some input into this.

  13. I think this is happening too soon.

    • I agree. Miles is just starting to get the hang of things, so I can see that maybe there will be a tutelage of sorts to come in these 5 issues, but it would have been nice to see Miles develop and then see him and Peter trade notes so to speak. Either way, I’m looking forward to it.

  14. I just bought this on Comixology and it’s missing the first and last pages of story. What the – ?!

  15. I enjoyed this and will pick up the rest of the series, good set up.

  16. Why is this issue getting crap ratings? It’s great. I love Mysterio’s social commentary. “Might as well be working in television”

  17. Everything I look for in a comic was here.. huge super hero fight, plot twist after plot twist, race against time, water rising, spider-man having to make a choice between saving a firend’s life or stopping otto.. a battle between spidey and doc ock.. this was an incredible issue

  18. the above two comments were posted here by accident. they were about asm #687

  19. I really enjoyed this and will be reading the rest of the series. Art is fantastic and Bendis Spider-Man stories are alright by me.

  20. @tanner you had me thinking I missed Otto in the issue at first.

I love Sarah Pichelli’s art. This book looks fantastic. My favorite part is how she handles the webbing especially on page 5 where you see it in the background. Attention to detail is so spot on.
