SHELTERED #1

The founders of the survivalist colony Safe Haven are sure that the end of civilization is at hand. Economic collapse, natural disaster, civil war — they’re prepared for it all in their underground compound deep in the woods of America’s northeast. But, in SHELTERED, the new series from Image Comics by Ed Brisson (COMEBACK) and Johnnie Christmas, the threat to their existence comes from a source they never expected: their own children.

  1. Hope this is as good as it sounds!

  2. I’m getting this i know people like this!

  3. This is my most anticipated book for the week – I thought the Comeback mini last winter was excellent so this was instant pull list for me.

  4. Didn’t really dig Comeback (dropped it after one issue) but this sounds awesome so I’m giving it a shot.

    • You should read all of Comeback when you get a chance. I thought it was a really strong miniseries overall and the art on it got better every issue.

  5. Johnnie Christmas?

There is absolutely no way that is a real name. I refuse to believe that.

  6. Anybody know if this is an ongoing or mini series?

  7. Had a signing with both Ed and Kurtis (Kurtis, I’d met before) – both super nice, talented guys. I was already sold on this book but meeting Ed and seeing how down to earth he was didn’t hurt. This is going to rule!

  8. One hell of a ending to this issue.

  9. was this on the imagecomics website and I just missed it? Couldn’t find it in the digital comics section for some reason…

  10. Didn’t notice this until I read the “light week” suggestions. Thanks Josh I’m glad I picked this up it was a good issue. Wasn’t a light week for me and I don’t really need another ongoing but the solicit sounded cool. And Johnnie Christmas is an awesome name….punk rock.

  11. Comeback was really good so i”m betting this is too. Especially when u get one of my favorite comic writers Mr. Wiebe writing in.

  12. Didn’t expect that ending and I loved the setup with the radio. Definitely sticking with this series.
