I feel what your saying, last issue was pretty good though so i’m gonna stick around for a bit more
*you’re :-[
Don’t worry dude I get what you meant, hope you like this & it gets better for you!
I’ve been getting this for Casey alone (who had me with Wildcats), but I’m letting it stack up for a bit for a weekend marathon. Doing the same with the Bounce. I haven’t really heard how people are feeling about either one.
This series has been surprisingly good. It’s like a more mature Batman story.
I really enjoyed this issue, seeing more of the various plot threads coming together. I haven’t minded the slow pace at all,as I’m engaged with the characters. Looking forward to the next issue . . .
@sweetesttoaster, I agree that this very much has the feel of a riff on Batman, or more specifically, I suspect, the Batman/Catwoman relationship.
Which I think is kind of cool because you never see that relationship play out all that much anymore.
Plus, it can investigate aspects of their relationship that you would never get away with at DC (such as the fantasy scene at the end of, I believe, issue 3).
At the same time, I think that the story stands fine on its own without any Batman meta gloss — it’s simply there for those who see it.
Slowly creeping up to the top of my favorite comics out today. The story is such a slow burn which could’ve been a problem but it’s executed perfectly and I love that
