  1. Can’t wait. Sad that this is the last issue before AvX bleeds into it. I’ll probably drop it and come back when the AvX tie ins are over. Aparently its back to normal at issue 29.

    • Agreed. Dropping it for now because of the AVX tie-ins

    • I told myself no more events but AvsX #0 and #1 were both good and had that Marvel spirit I haven’t seen in while, it was fun and still serious at the same time. I love Remenders run so far on Secret Avengers and is probably the only tie in I’ll read as the AvsX mini itself is good and don’t wanna buy a bunch of tie ins where the recap can fill me in anyway.

  2. After this arc is done so am I. This comic just isn’t for me.

  3. I agree not interested in A Vs. X, so get this issue &
then wait til the tie-ins are over!

  4. After loving the first Remender issue and not enjoying the next one, I dropped it.

But I will give it another chance once it is collected.

Did reread Ellis’s run this past week and was even more impressed.

  5. I thought this was going to be a lot better then it has been. I really liked Remender’s work but as of late it hasn’t been as good or my taste have changed. But I dropped Venom and after this issue is dropping this too

  6. Looking forward to reading a big pile of Rick Remender comics in the next few weeks.

  7. I think I’m done with this. It’s an OK series to me, but my comics budget is stretched already. Might pop back in for any worthwhile AvX tie-ins.

  8. I’m loving this book so far, but Venom needs to actually appear in this book. Seriously, whats the point of having him on the cover if he only makes a brief appearance out of costume in like 2 panels.

  9. I really didn’t like the last issue. It felt very flat. I’m done when the AvX crossover starts and I don’t think I’ll be back.

  10. Can’t wait until Scott Lang resumes his rightful spot as Ant-Man.

  11. I love how Remender is taking the word ‘secret’ to heart. Hawkeye’s all like “no one else can know about this!” and “this is just between you and me, you can’t tell anyone else!”. He’s like the biggest 13 year old girl ever.

Still, it’s been a fun arc and I’ve enjoyed the artwork. The nods to Uncanny X-Force were nice, too.

  12. The surprise twist at the end broke my goddamn heart. Very well done, but…damn.

  13. This first arc was disappointing. Remender wasn’t able to juggle the team members very well. I think he’s been saddled with too many to make it work. Venom was prominently touted on the covers and hardly in the interiors. Beast was a non-entity in this issue. Black Widow had what amounts to a cameo appearance. Captain Britain was there just so he could get shot at. This last issue really did feel rushed. Next issue begins the AvX tie-in so I guess the natural length of the Descendants storyline was cut short (or maybe post-poned) for that. I’m giving up on this and instead I’ll try the new Uncanny X-Force arc when that starts up.

    • I totally disagree, in 21.1 I liked how it was just Cap n Hawkeye, and it was Steve testing Clint to see if he’s ready to lead a black ops outfit, then #22 brought in Hardways art and Captain Britain and love seeing Hank Pym again as either Giant Man or Ant-Man, plus his intellectual 1 up conversations with Beast were great. Scott Lang heroically saved the mission while narrating with beautiful poetic justice, at least his helmet got crushed and assume he shrunk to return (although I like the character, he isn’t necessary as Hank Pym can be Ant-Man or Giant-Man). But he may be more needed at the lab than in the field. I really like this squad, Black Widow is a perfect fit and Venom slowly getting in is fine with me, acclimate him to the team and vice versa. Original Torch Humanoid Jim Hammond being there is a sweet surprise and love Britain in the omniverse. My only dislike and I’m half-hearted on it is I don’t think Valkyrie suits the black ops unit but fills a magic element spot that I think could be filled by a more suited character and miss Moon Knight as his hooded/cape/white contrast gliding in like Batman really worked for me in this book, bring him back as he never does well solo for long.

    • I wrote this review prior to reading #25, bout to now.

    • It’s Erik O’Grady in the Ant suit not Scott Lang.

  14. I don’t think that I’ve ever been excited for a crossover to interrupt a story in a book, but if I didn’t know that things were changing radically next issue I’d have dropped this.

  15. Not every book is for everyone, thats for sure, I find it interesting how some of us can completely love some of the same titles and are on the dark side of the moon on others.

  16. Can someone tell me what the cover is referencing? Don’t know enough about punk to get all the Remender references…

  17. It’s just like they let Remender sit in the corner and play with the toys and someone else has to try to capture it on paper. Personally I love the little corner of the Marvel universe he is carving out
