  2. MrWrong MrWrong says:

    I love that cover.

  3. justinsayne justinsayne says:

I don’t read this, I have no idea what it’s about, but holy shit that is an amesome cover. All sorts of creepy.

  4. skydog skydog says:

@justinsayne  Dude, you need to jump in.  It’s like an American Indian Sopronos!

  5. jams jams says:

this was reaaaally good. if i had to make a guess at the game plan, this past year seems to be putting the pieces in place for the final 10-15 issues. i do hope we get some big narrative moves soon as while i’ve LOVED the more character based stuff of recent, i’m an READY for scalped to go for broke soon.

    love. this. series.

  6. jasonhart jasonhart says:

I thought Aaron said somewhere that #36 or #37 was the halfway point. Is it really winding down in the next year-and-a-half or so? Been said plenty of places before by plenty of people, but… best book being made today!

  7. Conor Kilpatrick conor (@cskilpatrick) says:

@jasonhart  I think it probably is winding down within the next year or so.

  8. jams jams says:

yeah, that was just m guess. it just seems to be the logical progression of the story. it seems to be setting up the pieces for the finale action soon.

  9. jasonhart jasonhart says:

@conor  Seriously, what’s the pull box gonna look like without a (mostly) monthly Scalped?

So what’s the appropriate replacement when that day comes? Just started picking up Sixth Gun. Could be a contender…

  10. DenEColt DenEColt says:

It’ll be a sad day when Scalped comes to an end. There really is nothing else like it in the (American) comics industry. It’s head and shoulders above other Vertigo titles, which is saying something. I notice Skydog compared it to the Sopranos, which is kind of close. Maybe more like a Coen Brothers movie – like No Country for Old Men? I think it would translate well into film or mini-TV-series if the right people got behind it.
