  1. This is still around?

  2. @ Heroville. NO sh** , I couldn’t even believe it when i saw this. I forgot all about this after buying at least the first 2.

  3. well worth the wait

  4. Hickman books tend to always be worth the wait.

  5. One year between issue 3 and 4 is a little much but its Hickman so I’ll forgive him.

  6. @glwarm76: he has had a few things one his plate the past year…

  7. …that pay more than this book ever will.

  8. UPSUNX didn’t know that it took so long to write 32 pages. In fact isn’t Hickman’s mo to have years of stories in the can before the first issue even comes out. I don’t know what the reason for the delay is but a year is ridiculous. Im glad Hickman has been busy lately and I read everything he does but there isn’t an excuse for this type of delay.

  9. He also did all the art. I’m not saying a year isn’t a crazy long time but he is writing three other books and finishing up another creator owned that comes out this winter.

  10. I honestly thought I would never see this.

  11. I’ll buy it in trade 😉

  12. I have issues 2 and 3. I wish they would reprint #1

  13. Stay tuned for the end of this sente–

  14. Walked into my shop today, and the owner was asking if I was the one who ordered this (what, over a year ago?). I had no idea what he was talking about until he showed me the cover and I recognized the font. I don’t even know where I put the first three issues.

  15. This was a great issue. I don’t care that it was so late (mostly because I foundout about the whole thing last year). 5/5

  16. @amircat I gave this a 3.  Very little of substance here in art or in writing.  Just didn’t care for the book.  I’m really glad you did though:)

  17. I have no clue what happened. I’ll to re-re-re-re-read the first three issues.

  18. Mediocre and heavy handed.

It’s really the worst of Hickman on display, when he allows his focus on the concepts to override any attempt at characterization or story. I appreciate that he’s trying to get themes across, about identity and achievement and much more, but not at the expense of telling a real story about real characters. Hickman STILL hasn’t learned to do that consistently.

  19. I have to agree. Things are happening to people who have no identity at all, so there’s really no impact to the events. I’m not even sure what happened in the end. I guess I’ll have to dig out the other three issues and reread.

  20. This was so not worth the wait. Though the art was very nice to look at.
