  1. Well, it seems like there’s some momentum building in our series after Issue #8. Wanted to personally thank all the readers from the Ifanboy site for sticking with the series and keeping us going. This issue is a pretty intense one, Hook dominates #9 and I am so thrilled with how it turned out. I hope you do, too.

    Here’s the teaser:

  2. Hey Mr. Wiebe!
I just want to let you know im really enjoying Peter Panzerfaust!
Its a great spin on the character! Thank you!

  3. Kurtis – I love P.P., but you know what I’d really love on a future Wiebesday? A Green Wake hardcover. Just saying. Thanks for the great comics. I would love to see more Debris in the future too!

  4. I’m on board for the trades, but when I saw this cover, I absolutely had to pre-order it. All of the covers have been beautiful, but this one is iconic.

  5. Issue #9 actually sold out at the distributor level a few weeks ago. Here’s the announcement for the second printing!

  6. I enjoyed it. Though I do have to say that the two pages with blank spaces were a bit odd (though the second was symmetrical). Really liked the line “How do you prepare yourself for death when you know so little about life.” That’s good war comics.

  7. This was definitely the best issue of an already very good series. I felt like the maturity of both the writing and the art took a big step forward. Lotta very good books this week, but this impressed me the most, and gets my Pick of the Week!

  8. The last few issues of this have not been carried at my LCS, looks like I’m just gonna have to start picking it up digitally.

  9. This just might have been the best issue yet. That bit at the end was crushing. I just thought Hook shot towards Peter to spook him. No, no, much worse. The page with Julien and Tiger Lily just made me sink down in my chair too.

Kurtis, I’m really glad you’re as active as you are on this site, and that you were so enthusiastic about this series. I might not have picked it up otherwise. It’s become one of my favorite and most anticipated titles each month, and early issues are approximately eleventy billion dollars on the ebays. I’ve double dipped, as well as picked up trades as gifts, and if nice oversize hardcovers come out, I’ll grab those too. I can’t stop crowing about this series to friends.
