I was this close to buying these trades individually and used at Amazon – I’m glad this collection is coming out when it is.
I have this in HCs, but good on Marvel for keeping this in print. Sooooo good. It was my introduction to Stuart Immonen.
Good but overrated. Love the artwork. The story was meh. B level.
Cannot wait for this! I have been literally counting the days ever since I first got introduced to this series. I’ve only seen bits and peices online and I can tell this is a very fun, and funny comic.
Sadly, or stupidly, I decided to order this through my work to get a better discount. Suddenly it isn’t coming out till the end of this month for regular book stores. D’oh!
@TheNextChampion Don’t worry even if it is a little slow getting to you it will be worth the wait. Time and again laugh out loud funny. I already have the individual trades but I’m trying to decide if I want to get this and pass the trades along to up my comic karma.
@Crop: It will be worth the wait, I’ve waited for…..3 months now (is that right?) and I can wait 2 more weeks. It’s gonna be a great edition to my library.
This was hilarious, even if you don’t have any context for the characters. I’d rather see a Global Frequency complete collection, but if you’re even slightly into Warren’s twisted sense of humor, this is is totally worth it.
I reeeeeally wish Ellis and Immonen would revisit this book. At least give us a mini or one-shot.
@Butch: Until Immonen is free to do something else, and Marvel is willing to give it a try again….We’ll probably not see any of the sort for a while. I’m sure there are still flickers of interest with both men to do another series on it though.
i love love loved this. bought all the issues when they came out, was doomed to cancellation but i thought it was good fun.
Do you definitely not need to know any of the characters to enjoy this?
