NEW MUTANTS #15

“FALL OF THE NEW MUTANTS”

LEONARD KIRK JOINS THE NEW MUTANTS!

Fan-favorite artist Leonard Kirk (DARK X-MEN, CAPTAIN BRITAIN & MI-13) becomes the regular NEW MUTANTS artist this issue! Coming out of SECOND COMING, the New Mutants who are still left are licking their wounds on a forced R & R trip. While they try and put themselves back together, others are looking to take them apart. The strange secretive military group we met in NEW MUTANTS #09 has an agenda involving Illyana Rasputin. And they don’t want to give her a medal.

I’ve got big hopes for this book.  Zeb has the characterizations down, hopefully he can take it somewhere

  2. Slockhart Slockhart says:

I didn’t read any X-Force before SC, and only one issue of Legacy, but I still feel safe calling this the best X-Book out there right now.

Marvel you are crafty. Second Coming is the only reason I checked this series out and man do I love it.

  4. Leonard Kirk’s frst issue. Very much looking forward to this.

  5. This was OK, but I don’t think I’ll be picking up anymore of these issues for the time being. Wells certainly write a decent script and I’m loving the Kirk art. However, it’s a prime example of a book that’s alright to read, but I wouldn’t shed a tear if I had to put it on the chopping block due to budgetary reasons. And that’s exactly what I’m doing.

    Ngggggh.

I really liked it at first – the idea for the villains was really interesting, and the art was nice – but then the ending totally ruined it for me. Can someone PLEASE do something with ANY one of the New X-Men that doesn’t involve death, torture and horror?

  7. Slockhart Slockhart says:

Between this, Hellbound, and another issue (I think 11), it turns out saying "Limbo" is the easiest way to make me stop caring about a comic.

  8. I just jumped back on this title, pretty happy with this issue.  I want this series to be as good as I remember it being in the 80s.

  9. Rebis02 Rebis02 says:

Not a bad issue but not one of my favorites.  It will be interesting to see if they keep Pixie around as a member of the team.

  10. JimBilly4 JimBilly4 says:

Clunky. Not yet finding its gear after Second Coming. Hopefully Zeb can get his feet under himself by next issue.
