Back on track with goodness. This creative team really impresses me.

  2. XManRyan XManRyan says:

Hope that Dani Moonstar gets to shine by opening a can of whoopass in this issue while Cannonball is leading team Priscilla Queen of the Desert in Limbo listening to songs of ABBA.

  3. misterckent misterckent says:

Let’s get with the heavy action again!

  4. mikeandzod21 mikeandzod21 says:

I missed the last issue of new mutants (a title I don’t read reguraly) and now I’m behind on this crossover and fucking pissed cuz my favorite character died and has been spoiled everywhere. I really hope my store gets that last issue in so I can get caught up and back on track

  5. JimBilly4 JimBilly4 says:

For criminey sakes, they need to either give Dani her powers back, drop her off the team, or write her differently. She is not Captain America and I just do not buy her diving head first into battles with robots kicking and hitting them with her Cheyenne-powered fists. She could lead from a distance, she could do covert sneaky stuff, she could do a lot of things but brawling is downright silly. That being said I enjoyed last issue of New Mutants, although I am presently thinking of the whole Second Coming as one (very good) series at the moment…

  6. AlanRob AlanRob says:

@JimBilly4   I dont know, I’ve kind of been enjoying her.  She’s been doing this full throttle thing since they brought here back in Young X-Men. She has a chip on here shoulder, and has been acting kind of recklessly as a result. Other characters are constantly worrying about her and they have tried to bench here a couple of times.  She refuses.  I think it has been dealt with fairly well and consistently. Jost my opinion though.

  7. Cranpa Cranpa says:

I love this cover. I can’t wait to see one with a New Mutant on it.

  8. Slockhart Slockhart says:

I’m fairly new to X-Men (jumped on around the beginning of Nation X and bought back issues back to Sisterhood) so someone could probably answer this for me…

    Where the hell is Storm?

  9. magnum240 magnum240 says:

@slockhart I don’t read regularly either, so I could be wrong, but i’m pretty sure she is over in the Black Panther corner of the Marvel U.

  10. cutty cutty says:

@slockhart – Good quesiton.  Last I can remember her was from Brubaker’s morlock arc right before Messiah Complex.

  11. @Slockhart

Storm’s currently involved in Doomwar, if I remember right, captured by Dr. Doom.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing what happens next in Second Coming. :D

  12. Slockhart Slockhart says:

Thanks everyone.  When I was reading Sisterhood, she showed up for, like, a splash page then didn’t do anything that I can remember (Though I blocked most of that arc out of my memory… so awful).  You’d think she’d show up and say hi when the fate of her species is at risk though…

  13. cutty cutty says:

@slockhart – You didn’t like that one?  Yeah it was Greg Land, but that was actually the high point of Fraction’s run for me.

  14. I love the validation for why Kurt died outside of a someone has to die device, Bastion was tactically and actively targetting Teleporters with Vanisher and Ariel biting it, their left with only the MIA Magik and "Oscar Mike" Magik

  15. cutty cutty says:

@twisted – I think Bastion was trying to kill Hope and Kurt through himself in front of the bus – a pretty heroic and fitting death.  To me, that scene was very clear.

  16. XManRyan XManRyan says:

My favorite part of the entire issue was the Dani Moonstar and Cable/Hope scene.

Dani: Cable what are you up to? and is your "new hobby" worth it?

Hope: Are you talking about me? Get your fingers away from his face!

Dani: Didn’t he teach you not to touch somebody unless your ready to do so?

    Hahahaa priceless moment.

  17. magnum240 magnum240 says:

I’ve been a fan of Dani since the Asgardian Wars, so I really liked her little spotlight here

  18. drakedangerz drakedangerz says:

This was my least favorite chapter. Yet another person mad at Cable and Hope and questioning if they are worth the fight? Whatever. I hope Legacy picks up the pace next week.

  19. PraxJarvin PraxJarvin says:

This was pretty weak. Apparently the blowing up of the planes is a big nothing to any of the characters, we’ll just shurg and move on. That fight scene was so forced and lacked any real motivation that it became comical. I was waiting for there to be a foodfight and for Cyclops and Cable to have a father-son bonding moment. Pretty bad. The art was decent… until Namor came out with his Dracula collar! Not terrible, but this was a big misfire. It only felt like filler. 3/5

  20. mikeandzod21 mikeandzod21 says:

I’ve so far been underwhelmed by Zeb Wells work, and I could care less about any of the New Mutants. That being said, this wasn’t that bad.

  21. Slockhart Slockhart says:

People yelling at Hope is the new Sentry flying off into space to cry.

  22. captbastrd captbastrd says:

I hated this issue. 1st, it sullied the death of Kurt in a way for me since they say it was Bastion taking out their teleporters, instead of him dying heroically to save Hope. The art wasn’t too great. The Hope/some-character-from-New-Mutants-I-don’t-care-about fight was retarded and longer than the fight with the actual villian who goes down, apparently dying, after like 2 or 3 hits. I normally like Wells’ stuff, but I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt that he probably had mandates put on him here to reach a certain story point in 22 pages.
