  1. I know that many have not enjoyed the art from Chaykin and Deodato.  I am not one of them.  Still loving this.

  2. Liked the first Chaykin/Deodato. Less thrilled with the last one. I do miss Immonen something fierce on this title. I may transition back to No Adjective Avengers for the next arc.

  3. Deodato my favorite MArvel artist, followed closely by Immonen.

  4. Deodato is horrible. he has skills but waste it by draw ridiculious looking characters and if that’s the “good chaykin” i don’t want to see that bad

but, yeah, i still enjoy the book

  5. also loving both artists. what does that mean, “on every page”? panels from both artists literally on each page? if so, that could be interesting.

  6. When is a good artist coming onto this book?

  7. I like Deodatos art, I just find the inking and coloring weird. Really dark with super heavy lines.

    Chaykin however is incredible.

  8. Not a fan of either artist, so I think I’ll hop over to Adjectiveless Avengers for a while. I’m sure I’ll be back.

  9. I haven’t been enjoying this arc very much at all. Deodato isn’t helping but he’s better than Land over on Uncanny X-Men

  10. I don’t understand what people like about Chaykin, but Deodato’s great.

  11. The actual New Avengers seem to be getting less and less face time, and Bendis is starting to lose me here. I miss those wonderful Immonen expressions.

  12. I haven’t been pleased with New Avengers lately. I agree with headless – less and less face time for the actual team.

And anyone else noticing the mistakes Marvel has been making? In issue #10 they said “Normal” instead of “Norman”. Lots of spelling mistakes across the board with Marvel lately. Disappointing.

  13. I thought Red Skull was in suspended animation from World War II until present day?  Is this a different one?  I’m assuming that Cap isn’t Steve Rogers…

  14. I honestly can’t see the appeal of Chaykin’s art in this issue. Everyone looks bloated and out of proportion, I don’t see “greatness” at all.

  15. It looks a lot like Batman: The Dark Knight Strikes Again.

  16. Not a Chaykin fan. Never seen anything that I thought was pretty from the guy.

    Still enjoyed the issue though.

  17. Take that back.

    Loved that whale.

  18. That whale was ridiculous, how’s it getting back?  This issue was lame, how many times do we have to see Mockingbird die, boring, and what’s so special about this team when they’re all just jumping outta a van and shooting peeps?  Think am gonna drop this.

  19. kind of weird for me.  i love the 1959 story, but hate the art.  i love the art of the modern day story, but hate the lack of story.  all in all, its like half a book to me

  20. The back matter was also the most boring I have ever seen. Take out the whale (which was great and I assume Namora just left it there to die) and there was nothing in this comic to like. Worst one of the new series.
