MEN OF WAR #7

It’s not the War on Drugs, but these SAS soldiers find themselves battling for control of a poppy field. Can they knock out this Taliban cell’s money source in order to win the bigger battle?

Plus: It might have been battle skill or luck that helped Blake survive the crash of his patrol helicopter in Iraq – but which will get him through returning to civilian life?

  1. So was this any good? I was interested in the Robinson story, but it didn’t grab me on the shelf.

    • This was the best Men of War issue so far. Fish’s struggles at home after active duty really hit home. Many of the recent veterans face similar issues of alienation and ostracism. Also, I love that the SAS officer decided to act on his own in order to take down a vicious Taliban member. The fight was badass!

  2. Checked this out today. Ended up reading the whole thing. The backup story was great, a really moving story.

Written by the same guy who did the last run of Green Arrow, wasn’t it? Go figure.
