  1. I know nothing about He-Man and the first two issues of that limited series haven’t grabbed my attention, but hot damn, Frazer Irving and Josh Fialkov, PEOPLE NEED TO BUY THIS BOOK!!!!

Imagine what they could do with an ongoing Skeletor book.

    • Yeah, the creative team is the reason I’m gonna grab this too. I haven’t given a shit about the Masters of the Universe since I was 8, but Fialkov and Irving are too good to pass up.

  2. I never pass up an origin story

  3. It can’t be worse than the crap that is the current He-Man run. So it has that going for it. I really hope someone gets this simple formula right, it truly isn’t that hard.

    • The current He-Man is amazing. I don’t know what the hell you’re reading.

    • Deespacesamurai knows whats up. Current He-man is outstanding. Praying this gets picked up to be an ongoing.

    • What the hell I’m reading is a mess that already saw Robinson booted after issue #1 that was a muddled mess and involved throwing away a razor sharp woodsman’s ax in favor of a twig to stab beastman in the neck with. The second issue was marginally better but suffered from a complete disaster of mixed art duties and similarly uninspired story. It is improving but since it is a mini, and not an ongoing, *improving* doesn’t work… it needed to be a set story told concisely and exciting from the start. It was a failed launch and project, it can still be enjoyable to some but there is no denying that was what it was.

He-Man was never real deep or philosophical, it is a simple formula, stick to that and add some interesting twists or new elements and that’s a win.

  4. I’ve been shocked at every great issue of He-Man lately. Surprise of the year, easily. Great art and the story is pretty fun. Lots of action and can’t wait to see how this team does the story.

  5. Frazer Irving is doing a Skeletor comic?

How is this not the #1 pulled comic on here?

  6. I was unsure about this at first but now I’ve listened to the Don’t Miss Podcast I’m in for sure.

  7. This team. This character. What a gem. Not given a Damn about MotU since the 80’s. This was a cracking read though. Irving makes this look so good.

  8. I find it strange that as a DC ttile the comic was uninterrupted by ads. Not a complaint, it’s just something you don’t see in DC books.
