Hurry up paperback!

Posted by KickAss on 04/20/09 at 06:02 PM

Wow, this comes out every three months and the art is horrible.  I'll pass.

Man I don't know. I've love/d it. Only real X-thing I'm reading (besides Messiah War more recently), so maybe I have a filter. The pencils in unfinished solicits are "TIGHT". Bianchi I think, is just not for everyone.

Is this supposed to be out every three months????? Because Im starting not to care anymore.

Posted by voodoomama on 04/20/09 at 10:22 PM

This book is so late that I don't even remember if I already dropped it or not.

Posted by Bendrix on 04/21/09 at 03:08 AM

The thing that bothers me most is that it's late and the story seems irrelevant. I just can't justify buying it anymore.

@Bendix - Same here.  If it it's in my stack on Wednesday I'll give it another shot,  otherwise I'm done.

Posted by Brandon2 on 04/21/09 at 09:40 AM

well it isnt ellis, i give the guy credit since he does put out alot of books, bianchi however, should not be solicited on a book until the book is in the bag, to avoid this situation.

Hey I remember when this title was fantastic to read, and never late.

Okay the title was usually late but still.....amazing how a great writer like Ellis just ruined the momentum and fun of this series

Posted by TheNextChampion on 04/21/09 at 12:25 PM

I definitely don't care anymore; it's already off of my pull list.

Posted by Diabhol on 04/21/09 at 02:02 PM

The combination of slow-moving story and mega delays dampens my anticipation for this quite a bit.

Posted by ohcaroline on 04/22/09 at 08:18 AM

I gave in and bought it. Unfortunately, the story is actually halfway decent.

Posted by Diabhol on 04/23/09 at 12:00 AM

Okay, it WAS still on my pulllist. Not a bad book, not at all. And it looks great (but I could have done without the ship landing for one and a half freaking pages, talking about decompressed writing), but it's just not "special" enough to justify the long gaps between issues (something that Whedon somehow pulled off, to a certain degree). As a regular, monthly storyarc in Uncanny it would have been fine, but like this, at this schedule, I am afraid I just lost interest in it.

this would have rocked if bianchi didnt use those wierd ass layouts.  he switched to normal layouts for a few pages and those were awesome.  they actually let the story flow insteada forcing it. and i think the 3 colorists hurt it too. when (what i assuming was) laura martin took over for the second last pages, i think the darker tones over the ink wash gave it a real great look, like it was inked.

For some reallllly wierd reason the first Bianchi page looked nice and then.... all hell broke loose. I don't know what happened =| she usually wows me but NOT TODAY =(

Issues: Lettering errors go unchecked. Bianchi draws Storm and White Queen the same (not that other artists don't but that I expected more out of Bianchi). I still like her art but she needs a new colorist. And I'm not even going to mention Ellis out of respect for what he's done in the past. If the next one sucks I'm going to have to drop it due to budgeting.

ps: LOL @ KICKASS's statement. XD

Posted by Mangaman on 04/25/09 at 03:56 AM

@Mangaman: Hate to tell you this be Bianchi is a DUDE/MAN (not a she). He is italian. I assumed Bianchi was a girl too until I saw a picture of him in Wizard (yes I still read Wizard)
