I’m a fan of Mark Waid, and after what BOOM! did with the kids line, I owe it to them to check out this book. Hopefully it’ll be good!

"In superhero comics, pretty much everyone who’s called upon to put on a cape is, at heart, emotionally equipped for the job. I reject that premise," said series writer and BOOM! Studios Editor-in-Chief Mark Waid. "IRREDEEMABLE is, in a way, my third and most complex chapter on the cost of superheroics – a pulp adventure tale of horror exploring how the lessons we learn about right and wrong as children can become warped and twisted when challenged by the realities of the adult world."

  16. Fvckstick Fvckstick says:

HOLY SHIT! I just read the preview…and i’m soooooooooo excited for this now. This is probubly my most anticipated title this week now. I was gonna drop it just to save a couple bucks…but i think it will even out, thanks to The Boys =P

  20. evil09 evil09 says:

I’m not so sure if I should add this comic book to my collection because first of all I don’t know this dude and his comic book brand looks like it’s from an un-known company.

  21. s1lentslayer s1lentslayer says:

This has a really good premise and could turn out pretty awesome depending on how it’s handled. Hopefully it’s more of the slow transformation from being good to going bad, and not just being bad now killing good guys.

  22. So in the store it looked like standard 32 pages. I’ll get the trade.

  23. JesTr JesTr says:

Story wasn’t bad can’t wait to see where it goes.

  24. wayne2001bc wayne2001bc says:

  25. balsalm balsalm says:

I thought this first issue was great; really set the foundation for what’s to come.

  26. 400yrs 400yrs says:

  27. wayne2001bc wayne2001bc says:

23 story pages.  5 page preview of The Unknown at the end.

  28. kwisdumb kwisdumb says:

Very, very good, 5-star book. I eagerly anticipate the next issue.

  29. @Wayne: Thanks!

    I pass then.

  30. Rchapoteau Rchapoteau says:

Read this the other day.  I haven’t been this excited by a comic in a while.  This was REALLY excellent.  I can’t wait to see where it goes.

  31. TomO TomO says:

The story was pretty good, but the art failed to seal the deal for me.  This book definitely needed more of a visual punch to set it apart.

I may return if I continue to hear good things, however.
