  1. More Leinul Yu… YES PLEASE!!!

oh yeah, and that Waid guy as well =D

  2. I’m sad right now. With all of Marvel’s double shipping of titles I’m really interested in, I can’t really afford comics that I am mostly interested in. Sad that this title can’t be on my pull list. Blame the X-Men and the Avengers for this one, guys.

  3. This is gonna look so damn good with Iron Man and Hulk beating the shit out of each other.

Also, this newly designed costume is so much better to look at then that horrid ‘Heroic Age’ armor.

  4. Great series so far…
My only complaint is that they put the digital code sticker in my book on top of tony starks face in the page where banner transforms to hulk

  5. (Kinda story spoilers ahead) This may be a dumb question but what exactly was Banner trying to pull over on Tony in the Himalayas scene? I read it twice and have no idea what his endgame was there. Was it really just to fight Tony? His internal monologue seems to hint at something bigger than that. And then when it’s done, Tony is totally fine with it and doesn’t care? That scene and the follow up scene make no sense to me.

    • It seemed like he took him there to let off steam because of being looked down opon by Tony Stark all these years. Guess he felt neglected and was tired off that so he tried to change Tony’s outlook of him. I think Tony was fine with it because Hulk saved him from being caught it the explosion. But however at the end of the comic when Tony says you’re still rich, it’s like he’s admitting to himself that Bruce is smarter than him.

    • I think that Bruce expected Tony to tinker with the Gamma Fracker, and then Tony kept egging him on until he hulked out. Near the end of the fight, Hulk kept on saying racker, racker as if he understood that it was dangerous, and then shoved Iron Man out of the way before the thing happened.

I thought this was meant to show Tony that 1) Bruce knows what he wants to do with his own projects, and 2) that having Tony interfere is something that not only makes him angry, but can also result in dangerous consequences; in this case it may have hurt or killed Tony.

Still, I understand where you are coming from. It was a little hard to follow.

    • I came here to ask the same question. Glad I’m not the only one.

  6. Errmahgerd! Finally after years of waiting this confirms that Dumb Hulk is BACK! Could not be more excited about this! I follow this book as long as hulk stays dumb. Total win

    • So far in this book, Hulk actually hasn’t said anything that I remember? What is the appeal in “dumb hulk?” To me that just limits the character. I actually hope that he’s more like the version on Avengers EMH. He wasn’t Professor Hulk, but not dumb either.

  7. Never really read a Hulk book until issue 1 of this new title. Have to say I’ve loved both issues so far, Yu’s art fits Hulk roaring around smashing shit and Waid’s writing it superb. Very excited about where this book is going, a surprise because I wasn’t expecting much from it.

  8. In both issues so far, there are action scenes where I cannot tell wtf is happening Yu is very talented, but just doesn’t do it for me. And yea,Tony acting insecure in comparison to Banners intellect was incredibly out of character. I’m out.

  9. What a great GREAT ISSUE!!!

    ***SPOILER***

I love how Tony is actually threatened by Bruce’s genius. I can not wait to see how Waid plays out this dynamic!

On the downside though, Leinil needs a less heavy handed inker. Way too much black used for his fantastic pencils.

  10. awkward.
