Walking Dead #66

AWWWWW YEAH!  I find myself waiting for this book everyweek. 

Last issue ended on such a high note, you figure things are gonna get bad in this one.  Surprise ending maybe?

Like one of the letter writers in the last issue, I'm not a fan of the numbering of the arcs- I don't like knowing that this will "conclude" a particular story line. Moan moan moan, complain comlain, complain. Looking really forward to it anyway!

The Hunters kill all of our survivors and become the new main charcters... sick.

Aaaaand it just so happens that Rick and the gang led their little assault on the Hunters THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING!!!

Carl will kill and eat everyone and the book will be a solo title.

Last issue ended on a high note, and since this is the Walking Dead, that means that this issue will crush whatever hope they had left.

No question about it, this arc has really ramped up the tension again.  I've felt this book was in a slow-burn mode (not that that is bad) since the Governor/prison battle in #48 and this issue could be another high-action, status-quo-changing situation for Rick & the crew.  As always, I'm expecting the unexpected.  That's why this book is so great.

im going to start picking this up next issue (where it'll get more interesting)

Last issue was my first one getting this on a monthly basis. And man am I glad I did.  I'm really looking for this. I loved the ending of last issue and I'm curious to see where this goes.

@JMS74 - The best part of this book is definately that you just don't know where its going.  Its up there with Invincible as 2 of the only books that I can say that about.  I'm not the biggest fan of Kirkman's matter-of-fact dialogue, but he's a great writer in my book because he's so willing to change the status quo at any given time. 

So I just read the last 17 issues of Walking Dead today and am now totally caught up. 

My thoughts so far:

These issues aren't as good as the prison stuff. for 

But this makes more excited for DC.

And Rick being such a badass always bring a smile to my face.

Excited for tomorrows issue. Now time for Sleeper S2!

@cutty True dat.  I just read #66.. won't spoil it until others start reviewing and posting.  I'll just say I'm left (once again) very much anticipating the next issue after the developments in this one.  Awesome again.

This was one of the best issies in a while!!! art was amazing and the story was excellant!!!!! 

Went downtown to buy it on my break. Read the first couple of pages and thought... holyfuck, this is amazing!

MAN what a great read

 Is it just me or does it seem that the solicits for this series have read something like "NOTHING WILL EVER BE THE SAME." or "EVERYTHING CHANGES." dozens of times?

Regardless, Kirkman more than deserves such dramatic ads when issues like this one come along.

Holy Sh*t, that was the best TWD issue I think I have ever read. When Adlard does double page spreads, it is amazing. Hands down pick of the week, month, year, ever. 

Yeah that was my reaction when I finished too. By far the best issue of the series. And to think I was thinking of trade waiting this series...HA.

Those spreads were nice.

I'm surprised by everyone's reaction.  It was kind of average for me, but an average TWD book is better than most.

Yeah, it was good but it definitely wasn't the best issue ever.
