This excites the hell out of me.

It seems like some serious changes are on the way.  Should be good

Posted by cutty on 05/11/09 at 06:10 PM

Salvation?

HA HA HA HA HA! Yeah RIGHT! Because only NOW will they realize all of the screwed up stuff they've done.

Posted by Parker on 05/11/09 at 06:16 PM

issue 60 was my last issue before trade waiting...this is gonna be hard to walk past wednesday.

Posted by Fvckstick on 05/11/09 at 06:34 PM

I think this issue starts the whole "THE DEAD DON'T...WE DO" arc, in which case I am very, very excited. The cover gets me intrigued, and Walking Dead is one of my favorite books anyway, so I can't wait to see how this goes.

Posted by kwisdumb on 05/11/09 at 07:26 PM

It's official:

Best cover of the year.

Posted by TheNextChampion on 05/11/09 at 07:43 PM

Hopefully this character sticks around awhile.

Posted by Cadgers on 05/11/09 at 07:45 PM

The Walking Dead has the best solicitations.  Brevity is underrated.

Posted by Kory on 05/11/09 at 09:32 PM

I really want to pick this up, but I'm trying to wait for the trades...

Posted by supertrackmonkey on 05/11/09 at 10:19 PM

Why is Jesse Custer on the cover? And why does he have a tan?

Posted by WinTheWonderboy on 05/11/09 at 10:52 PM

Salvation?

Excited.

Posted by WadeWilson on 05/12/09 at 05:28 AM

Oh man this is my first issue back on trade waiting.  That cover is MOCKING me!

Posted by themanagement on 05/12/09 at 11:34 AM

Its pretty clear everyone reading this in trades has more will power than I do.

Posted by thisisegan on 05/12/09 at 02:20 PM

LOL thisisegan, I hear ya

Posted by ShonenRafa77 on 05/12/09 at 07:46 PM

In this issue captian cave man make an apperance!....also something horrible is sure to happen to a character! and the book will continue to suffer from the lose of the main charaters wife, baby, and modivation.

Posted by Aquaman on 05/12/09 at 10:46 PM

Why do I have a feeling Kirkman is gonna give the most gruesome death to this preacher dude?

Posted by TheNextChampion on 05/12/09 at 11:44 PM

@TNC - Because no one dies of old age in this book?

Posted by WadeWilson on 05/13/09 at 05:34 AM

Oh Boy!  I cant wait.  This is my favorite comic!  I've turned so many people onto this book.  Reading it is issues is like wasting money for me because I always buy the trades anyway.  Just cant get enough of this. PULL!

Posted by twooldridge on 05/13/09 at 10:33 AM

I should have known Kirkman wasn't going to give us a new character with out doing some crazy to the group. Issue 62 come out fast enough!

Posted by Cadgers on 05/13/09 at 12:26 PM

I thought that was the strongest issue in a while.  I don't think I'll ever be able to bring myself to tradewait

Posted by cutty on 05/13/09 at 05:34 PM

Great issue.  Damn Carl, WTF!

Posted by WetWork on 05/13/09 at 09:06 PM

Carl is a badass!

Posted by 400yrs on 05/13/09 at 11:44 PM

OH SHIT!!

Posted by drakedangerz on 05/13/09 at 11:48 PM

So do we know for certain it was Carl?!? Or was it the "Stalkers" or whomever the "THE DEAD DO NOT..." ads are alluding to?

 ?????

Posted by ShonenRafa77 on 05/14/09 at 12:20 AM

@Shonen - I don't think it was the stalkers, I can't see how they would shoot into the van, and I think Carl would be a little panicked if that happened, and probably be like 'WTF' at least to his Dad.

Another 5-star issue in the books.

Posted by kwisdumb on 05/14/09 at 02:13 AM

@Shonen - Definately Carl.  And I think Morgan saw him?

Posted by cutty on 05/14/09 at 08:12 AM

That was completly insane.  I'll noever stop reading in issues now.  I love the cligghangers.

Posted by twooldridge on 05/14/09 at 10:56 AM

@kwis & cutty -

Yep, I went back and re-read it; definitely Carl!!! AAAH!!!!

MAN that's intense!!! (and not JUST 'cause they were sleeping IN-TENTS!!! lol)

Carl reminds me a lot of Oliver from INVINCIBLE; Kirkman definitely gives his younger kid supporting characters some back-bone, that's for sure

Posted by ShonenRafa77 on 05/14/09 at 12:02 PM

Oh yeah and cutty, I think Morgan saw him too! :O

Posted by ShonenRafa77 on 05/14/09 at 12:03 PM

Carl saw what needed to be done and did it. If he grows into a man he's going to be a Jonah Hex level bad ass. Takes no crap from anybody.

Posted by Crucio on 05/14/09 at 01:39 PM

Yea, the look Morgan gives Carl definitley means he knows whats going on.

Posted by Cadgers on 05/14/09 at 01:44 PM

"Are you scared of me?"

This issue was fantastic. I have been picking up in issues since #49, but this is the first issue that I've ever read solo, or not together with a couple other issues. This series can be read in singles no problem. 5/5.

Posted by Ruo21 on 05/14/09 at 03:16 PM

Fritzing amazing.

Anyone know what was going on with the Y:The Last Man deal in the letters?

Posted by astoriajohnstons on 05/14/09 at 05:24 PM

@astoria - It took me a while to figure out whether kirkman was being sarcastic or not.  It seems like he's being sincere that he really likes Y, but it was a strange way of saying it.

Posted by cutty on 05/14/09 at 08:05 PM

@astoria - Yea I think he was just going on that Y: The Last Man was only 60 issues and both of his just passed that mark and he's hoping his books can maintain the same quality as Y.

Although the first 25 Invincible issues are WAY better then the first 25 Savage Dragon issues so I don't know what was up with that comment.

Posted by Cadgers on 05/15/09 at 11:02 AM

I think that he really likes Y.  I really dont know anyone who hates it.  I am going to be picking it up as soon as they come out with a really cool collection.  If you know of anything let me know.

Posted by twooldridge on 05/15/09 at 11:56 AM

@twooldridge - They're currently on Volume 2 of Y Deluxe Hardcovers.  They're very nice and go for about $18 a pop on instocktrades.com.  The only problem is there's like 6 months in between release dates, no clue when Vol. 3 is coming out

Posted by cutty on 05/15/09 at 12:02 PM

@ twooldridge they just came out with a larger hardcover edition, cant remeber the specifics.

Posted by JoeNY on 05/15/09 at 12:06 PM

I really need to start reading this in trades, but I just don't have the willpower. These issues are just way too fast, like reading a sunday comic strip.

Posted by mountainwindcat on 05/15/09 at 12:13 PM

Damn it, after a slow and disappointing previous arc, I was all set to switch to trades after issue#60 and couldn't work up the courage to have it taken from my pull list at the shop, not when a fresh batch of unread pages is resting so close to the register.  I have no will power.  This issue was great too.  I'm kind of wishing Kirkman would have saved using Ben's "troubles" a little farther down the line in the story, but it was still satisfying.
