  1. “Murdered You!”

  2. LOVE McNiven art. That’s what’s keeping me on. I do think these characters are interesting, though, so that’s good.

  3. I love these characters, my main gripe is “Bam, Murdered You!”
If this is the raccoon equivalent of “It’s Clobberin’ Time” I’m out. It’s forced and rather annoying.

  4. Dropped this book after the second issue. I love the art and like the writing but the characters aren’t as interesting. I know this book is an important marvel universe moving forward series and it has a lot of great ideas so far so I’ll keep an eye on it and if anything I’ll collect the series in trades.

  5. I love Marvel’s space characters. I will say, though, that the current lineup of Guardians is not my favorite. Hopefully Iron Man will be gone soon and some of the missing characters (Bug, Mantis, Moondragon, Adam Warlock) will show up soon. Over all, though, I’m enjoying this.

  6. Didn’t think that Bendis could write a sci-fi book but this is awesome. He’s distanced himself from typical conventions of describing alien landscapes and building a fantasy word through expository dialogue. But he rather concerntrates on a game of thrones style plot of secret agenda’s and a epic scale, with witty dialogue and great art that really works.

  7. This issue started slow for me but ended strong.

I read that John C. Reilly joined the cast of the movie. The rumor was he was playing a space traveling agent of Shield, but maybe that’s hokum and he’s actually voicing Rocket Raccoon. He does have the voice of an angel, like a combination of Fergie and Jesus.

  9. If Thor hadn’t come out this week this would be my POTW. Great issue I frickin’ loved it.
    “I am Groot!”
    “Yes you are.”
