Making a deal with the devil, that’s what this sounds like. Never trust Larfleeze, you’ll always get burned.
I suppose that’s storytelling. It’d be kinda boring if Kyle mastered the spectrum and there wasn’t a price, or if the price wasn’t steep.
The price was not what I expected! There’s something far darker going on here in the background. Akrilo’s warnings are finally making sense now.
I’ve got to say that as much as I’m a huge Kyle fan and I have been enjoying this book since Issue 1, the last couple of installments really left me cold. The artwork was decidedly sub-par and the story was suffering as a result.
However, with this issue, I felt like we were back on track. Aaron Kuder is a fine penciller and I’m really glad to have him on regular art duties now. His pencils on ‘Issue 0’ were lovely and I’m really looking forward to seeing what he conjures up as the ‘Third Army’ storyline continues. Also, Larfleeze!
