  1. I no longer trust solicits or covers for this book

  2. This & the Morrison duo (Batman inc. ,Action Comics) are the only titles I get from DC now, everything else it just don’t appeal or has let me down.
But luckily this series just always has been so consistent & I can’t wait for this Blackhand story coming up that links with GL Annual.

Oh & Mahnke & Alamy are one of the best art combinations at DC!

    • The art has been tremendous. There is a lack of chatter about it since it is consistently great.

When Mahnke took a month off, the art went off the deep end. We should really appreciate the current team more.

    • Art wise I’d place it third in the new 52, behind Reis and Manapul.

  3. I’m enjoying most of the Indigo tribe story arc. The mythos is interesting. I also like how the Guardian angle is progressing.

One nit. I found it hard to buy that the Indigo leader didn’t know Abin Sur was dead. He supposed to be pretty smart. Maybe he would begin to wonder after Abin didn’t show up for years.

  4. Reveal this shift already and lets move on!! I wanna get to the battle with the Gaurdians once and for all and end it; put them back in their right minds and stay in their little citadel; only to be seen once in a very long while.’

  5. Leave all of the other lanterns corps. in the other Lantern books, lets keep this all about Hal and maybe a few guest stars just not this many and all of these Lanterns are starting to become. I wanna see Hal’s rogues gallery finally start to grow..

  6. I don’t know why everyone says this book is moving slow. This is only the 4th Indigo Tribe issue. I think that’s a perfectly reasonable length.

  7. This arc failed to hold my interest. I’ll be looking forward to the next one, though.

    • Yeah this arc has lost me. I’m buying it right now based on Geoff Johns’ reputation and the desire to hear Hal Jordan stories. Its been a constant 3 since the new 52.

  8. this is a wonderful series. johns and mahnke are doing quite well. couldn’t be happier.
where as i think the flash needs to go back to it’s roots and celebrate some good ole fashion rogue action, johns has the capacity as a writer to take us to new worlds with new characters that inspire wonder.
bravo and more please to this fantastically creative duo.

  9. I’m enjoying this arc, the story has been consistent so far, and Doug Mahnke is one of my favorite artists. No complains about this one.

  10. Now I can agree with folks who say Johns is dragging this out.

  11. I think this series is the best Green Lantern run in years. I can get enough of Hal and Sinestro.

    • Never followed Green Lantern in the past, so I know there’s a lot of history I’m not picking up on. That being said, I’m really digging this book. The other Lantern books aren’t doing much for me (not a big space comic kind of guy), but this has kept me quite interested.

  12. This was a pretty solid issue. The only thing that was wrong with it was the fact that there were like 4 different inkers. Made the art really inconsistent. Other than that it was pretty good.

  13. this is my POTW. it came down to this and batman. i had no negative criticisms concerning this book and batman’s soap opera ending(which is fine, still a 5 star book) slightly diminished the illusion for me.
BUT THIS BOOK was superb. flawless. the art is just amazing. to think, once i stated that this title might be better off with another artist. one of the dumbest things i’ve ever said.
the scenes with black hand really revved me up for the upcoming arc.

  14. This had some really great Hal/Sinestro moments in it. And the by where Iroque got her ring back was great. Probably my favorite part. Black Hand spitting out the ring raises some questions. Hope we get some answers to that sooner rather than later. All in all this book remains solid. Doug Mahnke and Pat Gleason are the two DC artists that deserve a lot more praise and press than they get.

  15. This got my P.O.T.W despite feeling a little bit rushed and somewhat anti climactic. For me, this was a thin week.

Still, it contained some glorious Hal Jordan and Sinestro interaction, had great art (as usual) and nobody’s evil twin showed up, so I enjoyed it.

I have to say that I really expected Abin Sur to return in this story, so I’m possibly just disappointed because I braced myself for a really big reveal that didn’t happen. Having said that, I’m loving the exploration of Hal and Sinestro’s relationship in this series. Also, I really love Hal’s constructs over the last few issues, the motorbike, the quad bike and the jeep were all brilliant!

  16. I haven’t really heard anything about this book but I flipped through while my son was at Toys R Us and it looked interesting so I thought I might give it a shot.

  17. POTW – Great stuff with Sinestro and Hal.

If there was a Panel of the Week – It would be the one with Sinestro threatening Natromo. Great facials.

  18. This has been my favorite Green Lantern arc since “Blackest Night.” Johns really outdid himself with “Secret of the Indigo Tribe” and the art was also amazing, Mahnke and Hi Fi did a fantastic job creating the right atmosphere for this story. Loved it.

  19. This has been a great arc, and this issue was the capper. The twist was great, too.

  20. Have liked the series. Didn’t like this issue…

I think the #10 and #9 covers should of been the other way round. #10 for 9’s cover and #10 on 9’s
